Credential Your Medical Physics Qualifications Early
CAMPEP-accredited residency training and board certification through the American Board of Radiology carry real weight with healthcare employers. Have your transcripts, credential evaluations, and any foreign degree equivalency documentation ready before you apply.
Target Riverside Healthcare's Radiation Oncology Pipeline
Medical physicists supporting radiation therapy are a consistent hire at healthcare systems like Riverside. Prioritize open roles tied to radiation oncology, imaging, or nuclear medicine, where sponsorship decisions are tied directly to clinical staffing needs.
Search Physics Roles Using Migrate Mate
Filtering by sponsorship type matters when you're on OPT or an H-1B. Use Migrate Mate to browse Riverside Healthcare's open Physics positions and confirm which roles are actively seeking visa-sponsored candidates before you invest time in an application.
Ask About PERM Labor Certification During Negotiation
Healthcare employers filing EB-2 or EB-3 petitions must complete a PERM labor certification with DOL before sponsoring permanent residency. Ask your recruiter whether Riverside initiates PERM after a defined employment period and what documentation they expect from you.
Prepare for H-1B Cap Season Before You Have an Offer
H-1B registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. If you're not already in H-1B status, build your job search timeline so you have an offer and a willing employer before USCIS registration closes for the fiscal year.

Find Physics at Riverside Healthcare JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Riverside Healthcare sponsor H-1B visas for Physicists?
Yes, Riverside Healthcare sponsors H-1B visas for qualified Physics roles. Medical physics positions in clinical healthcare settings typically meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, given the degree requirements in physics, medical physics, or a directly related field. Your employer would file the H-1B petition with USCIS on your behalf after securing a certified Labor Condition Application from DOL.
How do I apply for Physics jobs at Riverside Healthcare?
Search for open Physics positions directly through Riverside Healthcare's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to filter for roles that include visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your materials to clinical physics qualifications, specifically board certification status, CAMPEP residency training, and any subspecialty experience in radiation oncology or diagnostic imaging relevant to the posted role.
Which visa types does Riverside Healthcare commonly use for Physics roles?
Riverside Healthcare sponsors H-1B visas for Physics hires in specialty occupation roles, along with TN status for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying physics categories. For F-1 students, both OPT and CPT pathways are supported. Longer-term hires may be placed on an EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa track through the PERM labor certification process with DOL.
What qualifications does Riverside Healthcare expect for Physics positions?
Most clinical physics roles at a healthcare system require at minimum a master's degree in medical physics or a closely related field, with a doctoral degree and CAMPEP-accredited residency increasingly standard for board-eligible positions. Board certification through the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics is a practical expectation for senior clinical roles, not just a preference.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Physics hire at Riverside Healthcare?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B petitions filed under standard processing take three to five months with USCIS; premium processing reduces that to 15 business days. PERM labor certification for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship typically adds six to twelve months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Starting the process well before your current work authorization expires protects your ability to remain employed continuously.
