Target engineering and software roles
Scientific Games' sponsorship activity concentrates in technical disciplines, software engineering, data science, and systems architecture supporting lottery and gaming platforms. These specialty occupation roles align well with H-1B and Green Card pathways. Focus your application on technology-driven positions.
Understand the gaming technology context
Scientific Games operates in a regulated Gambling & Betting environment, which means compliance, security, and platform integrity roles are always in demand. Candidates with backgrounds in secure software systems or regulated industries have a natural edge when positioning themselves for sponsorship consideration.
Explore both H-1B and Green Card pathways
Scientific Games has sponsored both temporary work visas and permanent residency petitions. If long-term U.S. settlement matters to you, ask recruiting about their EB-2 and EB-3 history early, companies willing to file Green Cards signal genuine long-term investment in international hires.
F-1 students should confirm OPT and CPT eligibility upfront
Scientific Games has a track record of working with F-1 students on OPT and CPT. If you're approaching the end of your degree or early in a program, verify with the recruiter that your target role qualifies, gaming technology internships can vary by team and location.
Canadian candidates should ask about TN sponsorship
Scientific Games sponsors TN visas, which offer a faster and more predictable path than H-1B for eligible Canadian professionals in qualifying roles. If you hold Canadian citizenship and work in engineering or computer science, TN eligibility is worth raising in the initial recruiter conversation.
Find verified Scientific Games job openings on Migrate Mate
Sponsorship history alone doesn't tell you which roles are currently open. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find active Scientific Games listings without wading through postings from companies that don't actually sponsor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SCIENTIFIC GAMES sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Scientific Games sponsors H-1B visas. The company has filed H-1B petitions for roles in software development, engineering, and technology functions that support its lottery and gaming platforms. Sponsorship activity tends to center on specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Candidates should confirm current openings directly with the recruiting team, as sponsorship is role- and headcount-dependent.
Which visa types does SCIENTIFIC GAMES sponsor?
Scientific Games sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation workers, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for permanent residency pathways, F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, and TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican professionals. The combination of temporary and immigrant visa sponsorship makes Scientific Games a meaningful option for international candidates planning both short- and long-term U.S. careers.
What roles at SCIENTIFIC GAMES are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Scientific Games tends to align with technical and engineering roles, software engineers, systems developers, data analysts, and platform architects working on lottery technology and gaming systems. These positions typically meet H-1B specialty occupation standards because they require a degree in a specific technical field. Non-technical corporate roles are less commonly sponsored, though exceptions exist depending on the position's complexity and department needs.
How do I find currently open visa-sponsored jobs at SCIENTIFIC GAMES?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter for active Scientific Games job listings backed by real sponsorship history. This saves time compared to sifting through postings on general job boards where sponsorship willingness is often unclear. Once you identify a role, apply directly and confirm sponsorship eligibility early in the recruiter screening call.
How do I approach the application process at SCIENTIFIC GAMES as a visa-sponsored candidate?
Lead with your technical qualifications, not your visa situation. Scientific Games' recruiters are experienced with sponsorship, so once you reach the interview stage, raise your visa status clearly and professionally. For H-1B candidates, be aware of the annual lottery timeline. F-1 students on OPT should discuss CAP-gap coverage if your OPT expires mid-year. TN and Green Card candidates may have more scheduling flexibility given the absence of a lottery requirement.
