Align your resume to SentiLink's stack
SentiLink operates in fraud detection and identity verification, so frame your mechanical engineering experience around precision systems, hardware reliability, or data infrastructure. Highlight any work adjacent to financial technology products to stand out from general engineering applicants.
Confirm OPT STEM eligibility before applying
Mechanical Engineering degrees from ABET-accredited programs typically qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension. Verify your program's CIP code with your DSO early, since SentiLink has used F-1 OPT authorization and your eligibility affects their willingness to move forward.
Target roles with hardware or systems scope
SentiLink's mechanical engineer openings tend to cluster around physical infrastructure and product development rather than traditional manufacturing. Prioritize postings that mention lab environments, prototyping, or cross-functional product teams, where employer-sponsored filings have historically been more common.
Use Migrate Mate to filter SentiLink openings
SentiLink posts mechanical engineer roles across multiple job boards simultaneously, making it easy to miss sponsorship-confirmed positions. Migrate Mate surfaces SentiLink's open roles filtered by visa type, so you can focus only on positions where sponsorship is verified before you invest time applying.
Raise visa type early in recruiter conversations
SentiLink sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. Asking which pathway their legal team typically uses for engineering hires signals preparation and helps you understand whether you'll need PERM labor certification, which can add 12 to 18 months to your permanent residency timeline.
Request a TN-specific offer letter if you qualify
Canadian and Mexican citizens with a mechanical engineering degree can enter on a TN visa without waiting for USCIS approval. If you qualify, ask SentiLink's HR team to structure your offer letter to satisfy CBP requirements, including your role title, degree field, and employment duration.

Does SentiLink sponsor H-1B visas for Mechanical Engineers?
SentiLink's sponsorship activity for Mechanical Engineer roles has centered on employment-based Green Card pathways (EB-2 and EB-3) and F-1 OPT extensions rather than H-1B petitions. If you're currently on OPT or already hold H-1B status with a prior employer, that changes the equation since SentiLink can file an H-1B transfer without waiting for the annual lottery.
How do I apply for Mechanical Engineer jobs at SentiLink?
Apply directly through SentiLink's careers page or find their sponsorship-confirmed mechanical engineer openings through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can confirm sponsorship before applying. Tailor your application to SentiLink's domain by connecting your engineering background to hardware reliability, physical product development, or systems infrastructure relevant to their fraud-detection technology.
Which visa types does SentiLink commonly use for Mechanical Engineer roles?
SentiLink has sponsored Mechanical Engineer roles using F-1 OPT (including the 24-month STEM extension for qualifying degrees), TN status for Canadian and Mexican citizens, and employment-based Green Cards under EB-2 and EB-3 classifications. The EB-2 route requires demonstrating advanced degree qualifications, while EB-3 covers skilled workers and typically involves PERM labor certification filed through DOL.
What qualifications does SentiLink expect for Mechanical Engineer positions?
SentiLink's mechanical engineer postings generally expect a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, with experience in hardware design, systems integration, or physical product development. Roles tied to their product infrastructure often value familiarity with prototyping, cross-functional collaboration with software teams, and comfort working inside a fast-moving technology company rather than a traditional manufacturing environment.
How do I estimate the timeline for visa sponsorship at SentiLink?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization is employer-independent and already in place when you start. TN status can be obtained at the border on your start date with a qualifying offer letter. EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically runs 18 to 36 months from initiation to I-140 approval, not counting priority date backlogs for certain nationalities.
