Help Us Build a Workplace People Never Want to Leave. At Shamin Hotels, we know that our hotels are only as great as the people who bring them to life every day. Behind every memorable guest experience is a team member who feels supported, challenged, appreciated, and inspired. That's where you come in. We're looking for an HR Business Partner who doesn't just work in Human Resources—you genuinely love people. You're the person others turn to for guidance, the coach who helps leaders grow, and the steady voice in the middle of tough conversations. You know that HR isn't about saying "no"—it's about finding the right path forward for our people and our business. For over 30 years, Shamin Hotels has been building more than hotels. We've been building careers, developing leaders, and creating opportunities across Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, and Choice hotels. We're growing, evolving, and looking for someone who wants to grow with us. If that sounds like you, keep reading.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Before You Apply... Let's make sure we're a great fit for each other. You must have:
- At least 3 years of HR experience in hotels or hospitality. Hospitality moves fast. We need someone who understands what it's like to support a business that never sleeps.
- 5+ years in an HR leadership role such as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner.
- Experience coaching leaders through:
- Employee relations
- Performance conversations
- Workplace investigations
- Talent development
- Organizational change
- A strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance.
- The confidence to have honest conversations while earning trust and respect.
We'd be even more excited if you have:
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
- Paycom experience
- Spanish-speaking abilities
What You'll Be Doing
No two days are the same—and that's exactly why we love this role. One morning you might be coaching a General Manager through a difficult employee conversation. By lunch, you're celebrating a promotion with an associate who's worked hard to earn it. The afternoon might include reviewing people metrics, leading leadership training, or helping a hotel navigate change. You'll partner with hotel leaders to build strong teams, develop future leaders, and create workplaces where people can do their best work. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Coaching General Managers and Regional Directors through real people challenges.
- Building trusted relationships with leaders across multiple hotels.
- Supporting employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
- Leading onboarding and orientation for new leaders.
- Helping associates see a future with Shamin through career development opportunities.
- Partnering with recruiting to attract exceptional talent.
- Facilitating leadership and compliance training.
- Using people data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Helping shape HR policies and programs that make our company stronger.
- Championing our culture and our values every single day.
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
This role is for someone who enjoys being in the middle of the action. You build relationships naturally. You don't avoid difficult conversations—you lean into them with empathy and confidence. You're just as comfortable sitting in a hotel lobby talking with housekeepers as you are presenting people strategies to senior leadership. You stay calm when things get busy. You don't wait to be told what needs attention—you notice it, own it, and make it better. Most importantly... You genuinely care about people.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Five or more years of progressive HR leadership experience
- At least three years supporting hotels or hospitality operations
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Paycom experience (preferred)
- SHRM certification (preferred)
Why Shamin?

You'll work alongside a leadership team that believes people are our greatest competitive advantage. You'll be challenged. You'll be supported. You'll continue to grow. And you'll help shape the future of a company that believes in doing the right thing, developing great leaders, and living our values every day: Team Up. Own It. Passionately Serve. If you're looking for more than just your next HR job—if you're looking for a place where you can leave a lasting impact—we'd love to meet you.

Target roles that align with sponsored visa types
Shamin Hotels has sponsored H-1B, TN, and J-1 visas, which typically support technical, managerial, and exchange-based roles. Focus your application on positions in hotel operations management, finance, or food and beverage leadership where these visa categories apply.
Understand J-1 and F-1 OPT as entry points
Shamin Hotels sponsors J-1 and F-1 OPT candidates, making it accessible for students and recent graduates. A hospitality internship or OPT role can build your track record with the company before pursuing longer-term H-1B sponsorship.
Demonstrate industry-specific skills upfront
Hospitality employers prioritize operational competence. Highlight experience with property management systems, revenue management, or branded hotel standards in your application materials, skills that directly justify sponsorship investment for a hotel group like Shamin.
Time your application around hospitality hiring cycles
Hotel groups typically ramp up hiring ahead of peak travel seasons. Applying in late winter or early spring positions you ahead of seasonal demand, giving Shamin Hotels enough lead time to initiate visa sponsorship paperwork before a start date.
Search verified sponsors before applying broadly
Not every hotel group openly advertises visa support. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm Shamin Hotels has an active track record before investing time in a full application.
Prepare for a multi-stage interview process
Shamin Hotels operates across multiple branded properties, so hiring decisions often involve both property-level managers and corporate HR. Be ready to speak to brand-specific standards and demonstrate you can integrate quickly into an existing hotel operations team.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Shamin Hotels sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Shamin Hotels sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a history of filing H-1B petitions for qualified international employees in specialty occupation roles within its hotel operations. If you're targeting an H-1B-eligible position, focus on roles in management, finance, or technical departments where a relevant bachelor's degree is a stated requirement.
Which visa types does Shamin Hotels sponsor?
Shamin Hotels sponsors several visa categories including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and J-1 visa. This range makes the company accessible to students on OPT or CPT, exchange visitors on J-1 programs, and Canadian or Mexican nationals pursuing TN visa status, in addition to H-1B candidates seeking long-term employment.
Which departments or roles at Shamin Hotels are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at hotel companies like Shamin Hotels tends to concentrate in roles that require specialized education or credentials, think general managers, revenue managers, food and beverage directors, and accounting or finance positions. Operational roles requiring a specific degree field are typically the strongest candidates for H-1B or TN sponsorship.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Shamin Hotels?
Migrate Mate lists open positions at verified sponsoring employers, including Shamin Hotels, so you can browse roles with confirmed immigration support rather than guessing from a generic job board. Filter by visa type to surface positions that match your current status, whether you're on OPT, seeking H-1B sponsorship, or eligible for TN.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting Shamin Hotels for visa sponsorship?
Build in lead time based on the visa type you need. H-1B sponsorship requires filing by April 1 for an October start, so you should ideally have an offer by February or March. TN and F-1 OPT transitions move faster. Connect with Shamin Hotels' HR team early to confirm they can accommodate your specific visa timeline before accepting an offer.
