Align your portfolio with Siemens delivery frameworks
Siemens Development Manager roles in consulting emphasize cross-functional delivery and client-facing program ownership. Document projects where you managed technical scope, stakeholder relationships, and budget accountability together, not just engineering output.
Target divisions with active LCA filings
Search the DOL's LCA disclosure data for Siemens entities filing Labor Condition Applications under job titles like Development Manager or Program Delivery Lead. Prioritize business units with recent certified LCAs, as those hiring managers already have sponsorship workflows in place.
Clarify sponsorship scope before the offer stage
Siemens can sponsor multiple visa categories, so ask your recruiter directly which pathway applies to your role and location. H-1B cap timing and TN eligibility differ significantly, and knowing early lets you plan around USCIS filing windows without last-minute surprises.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
Development Manager positions at Siemens typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. If your degree is from outside the U.S., obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved service before interviews, not after an offer is extended.
Understand how PERM timing affects your green card path
If you're targeting EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship through Siemens, PERM labor certification is the first step and routinely takes 12 to 18 months from filing. Factor that timeline into when you accept an offer, especially if your H-1B or OPT clock is running.
Browse open Development Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by Siemens to see which Development Manager postings are currently open and tagged for visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces roles where the employer has an active sponsorship history, saving you from applying to listings that won't support your status.

Find Development Manager at Siemens JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Siemens sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Yes, Siemens sponsors H-1B visas for Development Manager roles. The company has an established immigration program and works with legal counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying candidates. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are subject to an annual lottery, timing your offer and application around the April filing window matters. Cap-exempt scenarios, such as transfers from a cap-exempt employer, follow a different timeline.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at Siemens?
Apply directly through the Siemens careers portal, where Development Manager roles are listed by business unit and location. Tailor your application to emphasize delivery ownership, team leadership, and client engagement experience relevant to consulting operations. You can also browse Siemens Development Manager openings filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate, which makes it easier to identify active postings aligned with your visa situation.
Which visa types does Siemens commonly use for Development Manager roles?
Siemens sponsors a range of visa categories for Development Managers, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in their final degree stages or early career, and J-1 for exchange visitors. For longer-term employment, Siemens also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through PERM labor certification.
What qualifications does Siemens expect for Development Manager positions?
Siemens Development Manager roles in consulting typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a closely related field, along with several years of experience managing technical teams or software delivery programs. Demonstrated ability to manage scope, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders in a client-facing environment carries significant weight. Project management credentials such as PMP or Agile certifications are frequently listed as preferred qualifications.
How do I handle the timeline between an offer and my visa filing at Siemens?
Once Siemens extends an offer, their immigration team initiates the visa process, which includes DOL Labor Condition Application certification before the H-1B petition can be filed with USCIS. For cap-subject H-1B cases, registration opens in March with an October 1 start date, so offers made outside that window may require OPT extension or a cap-exempt bridge arrangement. Confirm the exact filing path and projected start date with your recruiter as early as possible.
