INTRODUCTION
The Personalization team makes deciding what to play next easier and more enjoyable for every listener. From Blend to Discover Weekly, we’re behind some of Spotify’s most-loved features. We built them by understanding the world of music and podcasts better than anyone else. Join us and you’ll keep millions of users listening by making great recommendations to each and every one of them.
We are the Voice Production Team, the creative team behind Spotify’s AI voice experiences. We think about AI voices from a casting perspective — including voice type, age and gender — and from a performance perspective, recognizing that a voice may need to perform differently for DJ than it does for an audiobook recap. We bring expertise in voice casting, direction, recording and production, and work closely with Speak to set the quality bar for AI voice models across experiences including AI DJ, Generative AI Ads, Personalized Podcasts, Agent Voice Chat and more.
As a Senior Product Quality Analyst, you’ll bring a dedicated evaluation perspective to the team. You’ll own how we define and measure AI voice quality, bringing together Voice Production’s creative bar, Speak’s technical bar and the wider industry bar. Your goal won’t simply be to determine whether Spotify has the “best” AI voice technology on the market. You’ll help us answer a more important question: is our technology the best at serving Spotify’s specific needs?
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the quality bar for Spotify’s AI voice models, defining what “good enough” means for different products, audiences, languages and use cases.
- Independently design evaluation rubrics and build an evaluation approach that measures qualities such as naturalness, tone, pacing, pronunciation, accent, audio quality and overall experience.
- Plan and carry out evaluation campaigns, turning qualitative and quantitative findings into clear recommendations for Voice Production, Speak and product teams.
- Establish an ongoing evaluation rhythm, including when and how we reassess model quality as our technology and products evolve.
- Benchmark Spotify’s AI voices against third-party models and competitors to understand where our experiences lead, where they differ and where there are opportunities to improve.
- Help determine appropriate quality trade-offs as Spotify expands into additional languages and regions, considering the product use case and needs of each market.
- Partner closely with voice experts, machine learning teams, product partners and vendors to maintain a consistent quality bar across demanding and sometimes competing priorities.
- Surface the most meaningful gaps in model performance and use evaluation insights to help influence future research and technical priorities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Who You Are
- You have experience in product quality, evaluation, data curation or a closely related field where human judgment is used to assess model or product performance.
- You know how to independently define evaluation criteria and turn subjective qualities into clear, repeatable rubrics.
- You are comfortable designing and running both qualitative and MOS-style evaluations and synthesizing the results into actionable insights.
- You have an understanding of voice or audio quality, including qualities such as naturalness, pacing, tone, accent and pronunciation, or the ability to develop that expertise quickly.
- You have strong judgment and can maintain a consistent quality bar while balancing different product requirements, markets and stakeholder perspectives.
- You are comfortable working autonomously, identifying what needs to be evaluated and establishing the processes and cadence to make that evaluation useful over time.
- You communicate clearly across creative, technical and product teams and can act as a reliable point of contact for internal partners and external vendors.
- You are curious about generative AI, speech technology and the evolving AI voice landscape and can translate changes in the industry into meaningful benchmarks for Spotify.

Target roles at the intersection of tech and music
Spotify's sponsorship activity is concentrated in software engineering, data science, and product roles. Positioning your application around Spotify's core streaming and personalization technology gives you the strongest alignment with the teams that sponsor most actively.
Understand that Spotify sponsors both H-1B and Green Cards
Spotify supports both temporary work authorization and permanent residency pathways. If long-term U.S. settlement is your goal, it's worth asking recruiters early about Green Card sponsorship timelines and whether your role qualifies for employer-sponsored PERM.
Apply well before H-1B cap season
H-1B registrations open in March each year. Getting an offer from Spotify in the preceding months gives your employer time to prepare a strong petition before the lottery window closes. Timing your job search accordingly is critical.
Lead with technical depth, not just music passion
Spotify receives highly competitive applications from candidates who love music. What differentiates sponsored hires is specialized technical skill. Emphasize expertise in areas like machine learning, audio engineering, or large-scale backend systems relevant to Spotify's platform.
Search for open roles with verified sponsorship history
Not every job posting makes sponsorship eligibility clear. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus your applications on Spotify roles where H-1B and Green Card support is confirmed.
Prepare for a multi-stage interview process
Spotify's hiring process typically involves recruiter screens, technical assessments, and system design interviews. International candidates should clarify visa status and sponsorship expectations with the recruiter early to avoid late-stage complications once an offer is being prepared.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Spotify sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Spotify sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles. The company has a consistent track record of H-1B sponsorship, particularly for positions in software engineering, data science, and product development. If you're targeting Spotify, confirm sponsorship eligibility with your recruiter early in the process, since not every role or team sponsors at the same rate.
What types of visas does Spotify sponsor?
Spotify sponsors both H-1B visas for temporary work authorization and employment-based Green Cards, including EB-2 and EB-3 categories, for permanent residency. The company's dual-pathway approach makes it attractive for international candidates who want a clear route from initial work authorization to long-term U.S. residency within the same employer.
Which departments or roles at Spotify are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Spotify is most common in technical and product-focused roles, including software engineering, machine learning, data engineering, and product management. These are the functions where Spotify recruits globally and has the strongest pattern of visa support. Creative, marketing, and operational roles are sponsored less frequently and tend to face more scrutiny in the specialty occupation assessment.
How do I find open jobs at Spotify that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find Spotify roles with confirmed sponsorship history. Rather than guessing from job descriptions that rarely mention visa support explicitly, Migrate Mate lets you filter by employer and visa type so you're only browsing positions where Spotify has an active sponsorship track record. This saves significant time compared to applying broadly.
How do I time my application to Spotify around the H-1B process?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in early March each year, and USCIS selects registrations by lottery shortly after. To give Spotify enough lead time to prepare and file your petition, you'll want an offer finalized by January or February at the latest. Starting your job search six to nine months before that deadline gives you the best chance of securing an offer in time.
