INTRODUCTION
We're building a new healthcare clearinghouse. Stedi is building the first new healthcare clearinghouse in decades. In the healthcare sector, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) requires that all insurance payers exchange transactions such as claims, eligibility checks, prior authorizations, and remittances using a standardized EDI format called X12 HIPAA. Clearinghouses process the majority of these transactions, offering consolidated connectivity to carriers and providers. Until Stedi, the space was occupied entirely by a small group of legacy players, built on outdated, often pre-internet technology. Stedi is the world's only programmable healthcare clearinghouse. By offering modern API interfaces alongside traditional real-time and batch EDI processes, we enable both healthcare technology businesses and established players to exchange mission-critical transactions. Our clearinghouse product and customer-first approach have set us apart. Stedi was ranked by Ramp as one of the fastest-growing SaaS vendors. We have lightning in a bottle: engineers and designers shipping products week in and week out; a lean business team supporting the company’s infrastructure; passion for automation and eliminating toil; $142 million in funding from top investors like Stripe, Addition, USV, Bloomberg Beta, First Round Capital, and more. To learn more about how we work, watch our founder Zack’s interview with First Round Capital.
ROLE
We're hiring a seasoned content developer and marketer to create world-class content for providers, developers, and technical teams building revenue cycle systems in healthcare. This is a marketing role, but you won’t be doing typical brand marketing or surface-level thought leadership. Your job is simple: create engaging content that evangelizes Stedi across the entire RCM ecosystem. You are a creative generalist with a passion for scaling and evangelizing technical products. You'll vibe code demos, produce videos, publish content, organize events, update our website, product sales collateral, and more.
- Research: You’ll find and research topics our customers want to learn more about. You’ll source ideas from support requests, sales calls, demos, Slack community posts, and Stedi’s own industry experts.
- Create world-class technical content: You’ll produce and publish written technical content that’s engaging to our customers and prospects.
- Build demos and developer tools. You'll build and publish demo apps, sample revenue cycle management (RCM) tools, and other projects that show developers what they can build on Stedi.
- Create technical content. You'll produce blog posts, YouTube tutorials, explainer videos, and other content that helps developers understand Stedi's APIs and related healthcare billing workflows.
- Mine customer knowledge. You'll use AI tools to extract common questions from support tickets, sales calls, and customer conversations. You’ll turn those questions into guides, demos, and other content.
- Represent Stedi publicly. You'll be a public-facing voice for Stedi's developer community, appearing on video and representing the product in online spaces.
- Measure your impact. You'll track what's working using metrics and adjust your approach.
WHO YOU ARE
- You're technical. You have a background in technical operations, content, or software engineering roles. You're comfortable engaging technical audiences, producing content for software engineers, making API requests, building demo apps, and using the command line. You can build a working demo from scratch.
- You’re an expert technical communicator. You’ve written high-quality technical content. You can explain complex workflows and complicated concepts in plain English without dumbing them down.
- You're comfortable on camera. You can explain and demo technical products clearly and confidently on screen. You have examples of demos, tutorials, walkthroughs, and other recorded content you can share.
- You have editing chops. You can script, record, edit, and publish video content independently. You know how to make content look and sound great.
- You're a builder. You love to design and scale systems that work. You're comfortable experimenting with AI and new tools to get more done with less.
- You move quickly. We move quickly as an organization. You'll respond with urgency, communicate what you're working on, and ask for help when you need it.
- You're the voice of the developer. You understand what developers need to know. You can make complex systems understandable.
- You thrive on details. No task is too small to find success, generate revenue, and reduce costs.
Work samples include links to 2-3 examples of technical content you’ve created in your resume. These can include blog posts, documentation, tutorials, how-to guides, etc. Showcase your best work.

Target technical roles that align with Stedi's core product
Stedi builds EDI and B2B transaction infrastructure. Engineers and developers working on API design, cloud systems, or data infrastructure are the strongest fit for the kinds of roles most likely to come with H-1B sponsorship at a product-focused tech company like Stedi.
Understand Stedi's sponsorship scope before applying
Stedi sponsors H-1B visas, so confirm your visa type is H-1B before investing significant time in the application process. Non-H-1B pathways like E-3 visa or TN visa don't appear in their current sponsorship history, so set expectations accordingly.
Apply early in Stedi's hiring cycles to align with H-1B deadlines
H-1B petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. If you're targeting Stedi, aim to have an offer secured well before March so there's time to prepare the petition without rushing the process.
Frame your application around the technical depth Stedi values
Stedi is a technical product company, not a services firm. Emphasize depth of specialization in your domain rather than breadth. Candidates who can demonstrate ownership of complex systems or infrastructure challenges tend to stand out in product-led engineering environments.
Use verified sponsorship data to prioritize your job search
Not all tech companies sponsor visas consistently. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on companies like Stedi that have an active track record rather than guessing from job descriptions.
Prepare to discuss your work authorization status clearly and early
Smaller tech companies like Stedi move quickly through hiring. Be upfront about your visa situation in early conversations so both sides can assess sponsorship feasibility before investing in multiple interview rounds. Clarity early prevents complications later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Stedi sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Stedi sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates in the technology and software space, and its sponsorship history reflects a focus on technical talent. If you're an international candidate pursuing an H-1B, Stedi is a legitimate target, though sponsorship is tied to specific open roles rather than being available across all positions.
Which roles at Stedi are most likely to include visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Stedi tends to follow technical hiring. Roles in software engineering, infrastructure, and product development are the most likely candidates, given the company's focus on building B2B transaction technology. Business operations, sales, or support roles are less commonly associated with H-1B sponsorship at companies of this profile.
How do I find open roles at Stedi that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find verified H-1B sponsoring employers like Stedi. You can filter by company, visa type, and industry so you're only looking at roles where sponsorship is confirmed by actual filing history, rather than relying on job descriptions that may not mention sponsorship status at all.
What is the typical timeline for H-1B sponsorship if I get an offer from Stedi?
Once you have an offer, your employer typically files a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, then submits the H-1B petition to USCIS during the April filing window. If selected in the lottery, your status begins October 1. The full process from offer to start date can span six months or more, so planning ahead matters.
How do I strengthen my application if I'm targeting Stedi as an international candidate?
Focus on demonstrating deep technical specialization relevant to Stedi's infrastructure and B2B product stack. Be transparent about your visa status early in conversations to avoid delays. Research the company's product thoroughly so your application reflects genuine alignment, and make clear you understand the H-1B process, which signals you won't need hand-holding through the sponsorship logistics.
