Align your stack with Synechron's fintech projects
Synechron builds systems for financial services clients, so backend experience with Java, Python, or cloud-native architectures in regulated environments carries more weight than general web development. Tailor your resume to reflect API design, microservices, or data pipeline work in banking or capital markets contexts.
Clarify your visa status before the interview
Synechron sponsors multiple visa categories, so knowing exactly what you need and when your current authorization expires helps recruiters route you to the right hiring track. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT end date and whether you have STEM extension eligibility before your first screening call.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Backend Software Engineer openings at Synechron
Synechron posts backend roles across multiple locations with varying sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for sponsored Backend Software Engineer positions at Synechron so you're applying to roles where your visa type is already confirmed as supported.
Prepare for PERM-related employment verification early
If you're targeting a Green Card path through EB-2 or EB-3, your employer will need to run a PERM labor certification through DOL. Gather your foreign degree evaluations and employment verification letters now, since delays in those documents are a common bottleneck once the process starts.
Ask specifically about H-1B cap timing during the offer stage
Synechron uses H-1B sponsorship for backend engineers, but the cap-subject lottery only opens in March for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer outside that window, ask your recruiter whether the company will bridge your authorization or hold the role until the next filing cycle.
Document specialty occupation evidence for your H-1B petition
USCIS scrutinizes whether backend engineering roles meet the specialty occupation standard. Strong petitions include a detailed job description linking specific degree requirements to daily technical duties. Work with your employer's immigration counsel to ensure the role description maps directly to your computer science or engineering credentials.

Find Backend Software Engineer at Synechron JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Synechron sponsor H-1B visas for Backend Software Engineers?
Yes, Synechron sponsors H-1B visas for Backend Software Engineers. The company works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualifying technical roles. Because H-1B is a cap-subject visa, timing matters: registrations open each March for an October 1 start date. If you're currently on OPT or CPT, discuss bridging options with your recruiter during the offer stage.
Which visa types does Synechron commonly use for Backend Software Engineer roles?
Synechron supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Backend Software Engineers. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying engineering roles. Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification is typically offered after an initial period of employment, not at the time of hiring.
What qualifications does Synechron expect for Backend Software Engineer positions?
Synechron's backend roles in financial technology typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with Java, Python, or similar languages is standard, along with familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed systems. Roles supporting banking clients often place additional weight on experience in high-throughput or compliance-sensitive environments.
How do I apply for Backend Software Engineer jobs at Synechron?
You can browse and apply for sponsored Backend Software Engineer roles at Synechron through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions where visa sponsorship is confirmed. Applying through a targeted platform reduces the risk of spending time on roles where your visa type isn't supported. Once you apply, Synechron's recruiting process typically moves through a technical screen, a coding assessment, and a final interview with the hiring team.
How do I manage the H-1B process timeline when negotiating an offer with Synechron?
If your OPT or CPT expires before October 1 of the target H-1B year, ask Synechron's recruiting team about a STEM OPT extension or a cap-exempt arrangement if applicable. H-1B registrations are submitted in March, and USCIS begins processing selected petitions in April. Building at least a six-month runway between your offer acceptance and your authorization expiry gives the process enough room to proceed without gaps in your work authorization.
