Align Your Stack With Synechron's Client Needs
Synechron serves financial services clients who run cloud-heavy data environments on AWS, Azure, and GCP. Tailor your resume to highlight hands-on experience with cloud-native data pipelines, not just familiarity with the platforms.
Target Roles That Map to Your Degree
H-1B specialty occupation approval hinges on your degree matching the role. Cloud Data Engineer positions at Synechron typically require a degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. A mismatch, even with strong experience, creates a petition risk.
Start OPT Applications Before Your Graduation Date
F-1 students should file for OPT through their DSO at least 90 days before graduation. Synechron does hire on OPT, but your work authorization needs to be active before your start date, not in progress.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Roles Efficiently
Synechron posts Cloud Data Engineer openings across multiple locations and seniority levels. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Synechron roles that include visa sponsorship, so you are not wasting applications on positions that exclude international candidates.
Prepare for a Technical Screen Before Discussing Sponsorship
Synechron's hiring process for Cloud Data Engineers typically includes a technical assessment covering SQL, cloud architecture, and ETL design. Secure the offer first. Sponsorship conversations are more productive once the hiring team has confirmed technical fit.
Understand the PERM Timeline If You Want a Green Card
If a Green Card is your goal, ask your recruiter early whether the role is eligible for employer-sponsored permanent residence. PERM labor certification through the DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even sees an I-140 petition.

Find Cloud Data Engineer at Synechron JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Synechron sponsor H-1B visas for Cloud Data Engineers?
Yes, Synechron sponsors H-1B visas for Cloud Data Engineers. The company has a consistent pattern of filing H-1B petitions for technology and data roles, which reflects the nature of its client-facing delivery model. To improve your odds, confirm the specific role qualifies as a specialty occupation by ensuring the job description requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field.
How do I apply for Cloud Data Engineer jobs at Synechron?
You can find and apply for Cloud Data Engineer positions at Synechron through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to emphasize cloud platform expertise and data engineering tools relevant to financial services environments, since that is Synechron's core client base. Be prepared for a multi-stage technical interview process.
Which visa types does Synechron commonly use for Cloud Data Engineer roles?
Synechron sponsors several visa categories for Cloud Data Engineers, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active STEM programs, and TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical roles. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Synechron also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Synechron expect for Cloud Data Engineer positions?
Synechron typically looks for hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, combined with proficiency in data pipeline tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, or dbt. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline is standard. Candidates with financial services domain knowledge or experience in regulated data environments tend to be more competitive for client-facing project roles.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at a company like Synechron?
The standard H-1B cap process runs on a fixed annual cycle. USCIS opens registration in March, the lottery runs shortly after, and approved petitions take effect October 1. From offer to work authorization, that is roughly six months at minimum. If you are already on OPT or in a cap-exempt situation, the timeline can be shorter. Premium processing through USCIS can reduce the adjudication period to 15 business days once a petition is filed.
