Align Your Credentials With CFA or FRM Standards
TD Securities Finance roles, particularly in capital markets and risk, consistently favor candidates with CFA or FRM designations alongside a quantitative degree. Preparing these credentials before applying signals you're already operating at the professional standard the desk expects.
Target Roles Across TD's Specific Desks
TD Securities hires Finance professionals across fixed income, equities, derivatives, and structured products. Searching by desk rather than generic Finance titles narrows your applications to teams that have active sponsorship needs and real headcount, not just pipeline postings.
Search Verified Sponsoring Finance Employers on Migrate Mate
Finding Finance roles that actually lead to visa sponsorship requires filtering beyond job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse TD Securities Finance openings confirmed through DOL filing history, so your time goes toward applications that are backed by a real sponsorship track record.
Understand the E-3 Advantage if You're Australian
Australian candidates applying to TD Securities Finance roles can pursue the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and no annual cap. You can apply directly at a U.S. consulate once you have an offer and a certified Labor Condition Application from TD Securities, without waiting for an H-1B cycle.
Time Applications Around TD's Recruiting Windows
TD Securities runs structured Finance recruiting cycles, particularly for analyst and associate-level roles in the first quarter. Submitting outside these windows typically means competing for unplanned headcount, where sponsorship decisions face more internal scrutiny and slower timelines.
Prepare for PERM Before Your H-1B Years Run Down
If TD Securities files an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card petition for your Finance role, the PERM labor certification process with DOL runs on its own timeline, often 12 to 18 months before USCIS even sees the petition. Starting that conversation with your employer early protects you from running out of H-1B time.

Find Finance at TD Securities JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TD Securities sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
Yes, TD Securities sponsors H-1B visas for Finance positions. The firm operates in investment banking and capital markets, where demand for specialized talent regularly supports sponsorship for roles in areas like quantitative analysis, fixed income, structured products, and risk management. H-1B sponsorship for Finance roles typically requires the employer to file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS processes the petition.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at TD Securities?
Applications for Finance roles at TD Securities go through the firm's careers portal, where you can filter by business line and location. For roles in capital markets or investment banking, tailoring your resume to the specific desk matters more than a general Finance application. Migrate Mate also surfaces verified TD Securities Finance openings filtered by sponsorship history, so you can focus on positions with a confirmed track record.
Which visa types does TD Securities commonly use for Finance roles?
TD Securities sponsors H-1B visas for most Finance hires requiring work authorization, and the E-3 visa for eligible Australian nationals, which bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. For longer-term pathways, the firm has filed EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions for Finance professionals, typically after an initial period on a nonimmigrant visa. The right category depends on your nationality, degree, and role seniority.
What qualifications does TD Securities expect for Finance roles with sponsorship?
Most Finance roles at TD Securities that support sponsorship require a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field. For capital markets and structuring roles, a master's degree or CFA candidacy is often preferred. The specialty occupation requirement for H-1B eligibility means your degree must directly align with the specific role, not Finance broadly.
How do I think about the timeline from offer to work authorization at TD Securities?
For H-1B hires, TD Securities typically needs to file during the annual cap registration window in March, with employment beginning October 1 at the earliest. E-3 applicants can move faster, often receiving a visa stamp within a few weeks of the offer once the LCA is certified by DOL. Building in at least three to six months between offer and expected start date prevents timeline pressure on either side.
