Frame Your PMP Credentials for Hardware Environments
Teradyne's program managers work across semiconductor and automated test equipment cycles. Certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 carry more weight when your application materials connect them to hardware delivery milestones, not just software sprints or agile ceremonies.
Target Roles Tied to Specific Product Lines
Teradyne staffs program managers against active product programs in wireless, robotics, and semiconductor test. Applying to openings that name a specific business unit signals genuine fit and speeds up internal sponsorship approval, since headcount is already budget-approved for that team.
Confirm Sponsorship Scope Before Your Final Interview Round
Teradyne sponsors multiple visa categories for this function, but coverage can vary by seniority and hiring manager. Ask the recruiter directly which petition types the team has filed for comparable roles so you're not surprised at the offer stage.
Understand the H-1B Cap Timeline If You're on OPT
If you're working on F-1 OPT, your employer must file your H-1B petition by early April for an October 1 start. USCIS runs a lottery for cap-subject petitions, so align your Teradyne offer timeline to give legal counsel enough runway to prepare the I-129.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Teradyne Listings
Teradyne posts program manager roles across multiple sites at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter for confirmed sponsoring employers in Electronics and Hardware so you catch Teradyne openings as they go live without manually monitoring every job board.
Prepare Your PERM Documentation Early for Immigrant Visa Paths
Teradyne files EB-2 and EB-3 petitions for qualifying employees. The PERM labor certification process requires DOL-compliant job postings and can take a year or more before your I-140 is even filed, so start gathering employment history and degree equivalency records well before your offer converts to a permanent role.

Find Project Program Manager at Teradyne JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Teradyne sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Teradyne sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The company has a consistent pattern of filing cap-subject H-1B petitions for this function, particularly for candidates transitioning from F-1 OPT. Sponsorship is typically confirmed during the offer stage, so it's worth raising the topic with the recruiter before your final interview round to align on timing.
Which visa types does Teradyne commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
Teradyne sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Project Program Managers, and supports Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 petitions for longer-term employees. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa type depends on your nationality, degree field, and career stage.
What qualifications does Teradyne expect for Project Program Manager positions?
Teradyne's program manager roles in Electronics and Hardware typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, along with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional hardware programs. Familiarity with semiconductor test, robotics, or automated test equipment is a recurring expectation. Program management certifications and experience with hardware development lifecycles strengthen your candidacy considerably.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Teradyne?
You can browse and apply for Project Program Manager openings at Teradyne directly through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by sponsorship type so you can confirm visa support before applying. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific product line or business unit listed in the job description, as Teradyne hires program managers against active programs rather than general headcount pools.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take after receiving an offer from Teradyne?
Timeline depends on the visa category. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow a fixed annual cycle, with USCIS accepting filings in early April for an October 1 start date, so a spring offer may mean a months-long wait. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the border with same-day approval. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 typically spans one to several years from initiation to I-140 approval.
