Frame your hardware PM credentials precisely
Teradyne's product managers work at the intersection of semiconductor test systems and customer-facing roadmaps. Certifications or experience in electronics, ATE systems, or industrial hardware signal you can contribute from day one, which matters for specialty occupation framing on an H-1B.
Research Teradyne's LCA filings through DOL
Before applying, search DOL's OFLC disclosure data for Teradyne's Labor Condition Applications under product management titles. This tells you which locations they actively hire in and what prevailing wage levels they've committed to, so you can target the right business unit.
Align your application to semiconductor test verticals
Teradyne structures product management around divisions like semiconductor test, wireless test, and robotics. Tailoring your resume and cover letter to a specific division, rather than applying broadly, increases your chances of reaching a hiring manager who already has headcount and sponsorship budget approved.
Clarify OPT and TN eligibility before the offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension timeline with your DSO before negotiating an offer. Canadian and Mexican nationals should verify that a product management role at an electronics hardware company qualifies under TN's engineer or management categories before USCIS filing.
Use Migrate Mate to find open product management roles at Teradyne
Filter by visa type and role on Migrate Mate to surface current Manager, Product Management openings at Teradyne that are actively open to sponsored candidates, so you're not applying blind to listings where sponsorship hasn't been confirmed.
Anticipate the PERM timeline if targeting a Green Card
Teradyne sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for product management roles, but PERM labor certification typically runs 12 to 18 months before the I-140 petition stage. If you're mid-H-1B, ask the recruiter early whether the role includes a Green Card sponsorship commitment and at what seniority level that process starts.

Find Manager, Product Management at Teradyne JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Teradyne sponsor H-1B visas for Manager, Product Managements?
Yes, Teradyne sponsors H-1B visas for Manager, Product Management roles. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for product management positions, particularly within its semiconductor test and industrial automation divisions. Because these roles require specialized technical and business expertise, they generally meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria. Confirming sponsorship intent directly with the recruiter during the initial screen is the most reliable step.
How do I apply for Manager, Product Management jobs at Teradyne?
Apply through Teradyne's careers page or browse verified openings on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsored roles. When applying, align your materials to a specific Teradyne division such as semiconductor test, wireless test, or robotics, as product management at Teradyne is highly division-specific. Mentioning your visa status or work authorization upfront in a recruiter screen avoids surprises later in the process.
Which visa types does Teradyne commonly use for Manager, Product Management roles?
Teradyne sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and EB-2/EB-3 Green Cards for product management positions. H-1B is the most common path for candidates already in the U.S. F-1 OPT allows recent graduates to start before an H-1B is filed. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status if the role aligns with a covered professional category. EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship is typically available for longer-tenured employees.
What qualifications does Teradyne expect for a sponsored Manager, Product Management role?
Teradyne's product management roles typically require a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, with advanced degrees preferred for senior positions. Relevant experience with test systems, semiconductor hardware, or electronics product strategy is a practical expectation. For H-1B purposes, a direct connection between your degree field and the role's technical requirements strengthens the specialty occupation case USCIS reviews during adjudication.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Teradyne product management role?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow the April lottery and October 1 start date cycle, meaning you may wait six months or more from offer to work authorization. Cap-exempt scenarios or a change of status from OPT can be faster. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship adds another 12 to 24 months before the I-140 stage. Clarifying Teradyne's internal sponsorship timeline expectations during the offer stage helps you plan effectively.
