Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Program Manager Jobs at Teradyne Jobs
Frame your credentials around hardware program delivery
Teradyne's Program Manager roles center on test equipment and semiconductor lifecycle management. Before applying, reframe your resume around milestone-driven hardware programs, cross-functional engineering coordination, and product release ownership rather than generic project management frameworks.
Target roles tied to semiconductor or ATE divisions
Teradyne's core business is automated test equipment, so Program Manager openings tied to its Semiconductor Test or Robotics divisions carry stronger sponsorship precedent. Prioritize those postings when you're narrowing down which roles to pursue.
Verify your OPT STEM extension eligibility early
Program management roles at hardware companies like Teradyne often qualify under STEM OPT if your degree is in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Confirm your eligibility with your DSO before the offer stage so there's no delay in your authorization start date.
Ask about LCA filing timelines during offer negotiation
The H-1B process requires a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL before USCIS can receive the petition. When you receive an offer, ask your recruiter when they plan to initiate the LCA so you can align your start date to the filing calendar, not just the cap lottery.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Program Manager openings by sponsorship type
Not every Teradyne posting lists sponsorship details upfront. Search Migrate Mate to filter Program Manager roles at Teradyne by the visa types they actively sponsor, so you're only spending time on opportunities where your immigration situation is already a known fit.
Prepare PMP or equivalent certification before interviewing
Teradyne's Program Manager job descriptions frequently reference formal project management credentials alongside hardware industry experience. Holding a PMP or similar certification signals to hiring managers that you meet both the technical and methodological bar without needing additional justification during the visa sponsorship conversation.

Does Teradyne sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Yes, Teradyne sponsors H-1B visas for Program Manager roles. The company operates in the electronics and hardware industry where demand for specialized program management talent routinely exceeds the domestic supply, making H-1B sponsorship a practical part of their hiring process for qualified international candidates in this function.
Which visa types does Teradyne commonly sponsor for Program Manager roles?
Teradyne sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Program Managers. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates still in school or within their post-graduation work period, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering management roles, and employment-based Green Card processes including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term sponsorship.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Teradyne?
You can find and apply for Program Manager openings at Teradyne through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your immigration situation is supported before you apply. When applying, tailor your materials to Teradyne's hardware and test equipment focus, highlighting experience managing cross-functional engineering programs through full product development cycles.
What qualifications and experience does Teradyne expect for Program Manager roles?
Teradyne typically looks for Program Managers with a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, experience managing hardware or electronics product development programs, and strong cross-functional coordination skills across engineering, operations, and supply chain. Formal credentials like a PMP certification and familiarity with semiconductor or automated test equipment development processes strengthen your candidacy significantly.
How do I plan my timeline if Teradyne sponsors my H-1B as a Program Manager?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer must file the H-1B petition by April 1 for an October 1 start, giving you a defined planning window. Teradyne initiates the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before filing with USCIS, so confirm your intended start date with HR well ahead of the registration period to avoid gaps in your work authorization.
