Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Engineering Project Manager Jobs at Teradyne Jobs
Align your credentials to LCA job requirements
Teradyne files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before sponsoring any H-1B. Review publicly available LCA disclosure data for Engineering Project Manager filings to understand which degree fields and job duties Teradyne certifies, then mirror that language in your resume and application materials.
Target teams building next-generation test systems
Teradyne's semiconductor test and wireless test divisions drive the bulk of project management hiring. Positioning yourself around NPI cycles, hardware bring-up coordination, or cross-site program delivery in electronics manufacturing makes your profile directly relevant to their active Engineering Project Manager requisitions.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Teradyne openings by visa type
Not every Engineering Project Manager posting at Teradyne explicitly states sponsorship eligibility. Migrate Mate filters open roles by verified visa sponsorship history, so you can identify which positions are realistic targets before investing time in a full application.
Clarify TN eligibility before your offer negotiation
Canadian and Mexican nationals in engineering management roles may qualify for TN status under the USMCA engineer category. Confirm with Teradyne's recruiting team that the specific Engineering Project Manager role maps to an eligible TN occupation before the offer stage, since classification mismatches cause delays.
Document cross-functional leadership for specialty occupation evidence
USCIS scrutinizes whether Engineering Project Manager roles require a specific technical degree, not just general management experience. Build a paper trail showing you directly applied electrical engineering, systems engineering, or related technical knowledge to hardware program decisions, not just schedule and budget oversight.
Anticipate the PERM timeline if your goal is a Green Card
Teradyne sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for engineering staff, but PERM labor certification with the DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Factor that runway into your H-1B status planning so you're not caught short before priority date movement.

Find Engineering Project Manager at Teradyne JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Teradyne sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Project Managers?
Yes, Teradyne sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Project Manager roles. The process begins with Teradyne filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, followed by an H-1B petition to USCIS. For cap-subject candidates, sponsorship is tied to the annual lottery, so timing your application cycle and confirming Teradyne's willingness to sponsor before April is critical.
How do I apply for Engineering Project Manager jobs at Teradyne?
Applications go through Teradyne's careers portal. Filter by function using terms like 'program manager' or 'project manager' within engineering or operations. Tailor your resume to emphasize hardware product lifecycles, cross-functional coordination in electronics or semiconductor environments, and technical degree credentials. Migrate Mate surfaces Teradyne's open Engineering Project Manager roles filtered by visa sponsorship history, which helps you prioritize the right requisitions.
Which visa types does Teradyne commonly use for Engineering Project Manager hires?
Teradyne sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work authorization pathway for Engineering Project Managers. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students entering through internships or new-grad pipelines, TN status for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-term employees pursuing permanent residence.
What qualifications does Teradyne expect for Engineering Project Manager roles?
Teradyne typically looks for a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field. Practical experience managing hardware NPI programs, coordinating across firmware, hardware, and manufacturing teams, and working within test and measurement or semiconductor environments strengthens your candidacy significantly over general program management backgrounds.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Teradyne Engineering Project Manager role?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and whether you qualify for a 24-month STEM extension, which can cover you through an H-1B lottery cycle. H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start, so you need an offer finalized by late March. Starting conversations with Teradyne's talent acquisition team three to four months ahead of that window is a practical target.
