Align your credentials to PE licensure expectations
Carollo prioritizes Professional Engineer licensure or active pursuit of it for project manager roles. Before applying, verify your degree is from an ABET-accredited program or obtain a foreign credential evaluation, since USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims for engineering roles without recognized U.S. equivalency.
Target Carollo's water infrastructure project offices
Carollo staffs project managers closest to active municipal water and wastewater contracts. Search their open roles by regional office rather than applying broadly, as sponsorship decisions are often tied to a specific project's budget authorization and the local office's current workload.
Ask about LCA filing timing during offer negotiation
For H-1B transfers or cap-exempt filings, Carollo must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your start date. Confirm whether the prevailing wage determination aligns with your offered salary early, so there are no delays between offer acceptance and your actual start.
Position E-3 eligibility as a faster path for Australians
If you hold Australian citizenship, the E-3 visa avoids the H-1B lottery and can be processed at a U.S. consulate in weeks. Carollo's sponsorship history includes E-3 filings, so explicitly flagging your eligibility during screening can accelerate the hiring decision for project-critical roles.
Browse open Engineering Project Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Carollo Engineers' current Engineering Project Manager openings by visa type. It surfaces roles at firms with verified sponsorship histories, so you can prioritize applications where the employer has already demonstrated willingness to support your specific visa category.
Start PERM groundwork early for permanent residence
Carollo sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for long-term hires in project management. PERM labor certification requires DOL-supervised recruitment and can take a year or more before USCIS even sees the petition, so raise your interest in permanent residence during your first year to avoid unnecessary backlog gaps.

Find Engineering Project Manager at Carollo Engineers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Carollo Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Project Managers?
Yes, Carollo Engineers sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Project Manager roles. The firm operates as a consulting engineering practice with recurring project-driven hiring, which supports cap-exempt filings in some cases and standard cap-subject petitions in others. Because the role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria, H-1B eligibility is well-established for candidates with relevant engineering degrees and licensure progress.
How do I apply for Engineering Project Manager jobs at Carollo Engineers?
You can apply directly through Carollo Engineers' careers page or find their open Engineering Project Manager roles filtered by visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your materials to the specific project focus of the office you're targeting, whether that's drinking water, wastewater, or water reuse. Carollo typically expects candidates to demonstrate project delivery experience and client-facing technical leadership.
Which visa types does Carollo Engineers commonly use for Engineering Project Manager roles?
Carollo Engineers sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Engineering Project Manager positions, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term hires. E-3 is an efficient option for Australian citizens since it bypasses the H-1B lottery. TN applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals working in qualifying engineering roles under the USMCA agreement.
What qualifications does Carollo Engineers expect for Engineering Project Manager candidates seeking sponsorship?
Carollo typically looks for a bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering from an accredited program, with several years of water or wastewater project delivery experience. Active Professional Engineer licensure or demonstrated progress toward it carries significant weight. USCIS specialty occupation requirements mean the degree must correspond directly to the job duties, so generalist backgrounds may face additional scrutiny.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when starting an Engineering Project Manager role at Carollo Engineers?
Timeline depends on the visa type. E-3 consular processing for Australian citizens can take as little as two to four weeks after the employer files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL. H-1B transfers for candidates already in status can proceed with a receipt notice. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship runs considerably longer, often one to three years before an I-140 approval, depending on DOL processing backlogs and your priority date.
