Frame Your PE License as Non-Negotiable
Carollo's senior PM roles almost always require a Professional Engineer license. If you're still working toward licensure, clarify your exam status upfront. Hiring managers need to know your timeline before initiating any visa petition.
Target Water Infrastructure Projects on Your Resume
Carollo focuses exclusively on water and wastewater work. Tailor your project history to highlight drinking water treatment, conveyance, or resource recovery programs. Generic civil or environmental PM experience won't position you as a specialist.
Search Open Roles Using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Senior Project Management openings at Carollo Engineers by visa type. This surfaces active roles where sponsorship is confirmed, so you're not guessing which positions are viable before applying.
Clarify Your Visa Category Before the Offer Stage
Carollo sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT among others, and the right pathway depends on your nationality and current status. Confirm which category applies to you before offers are drafted to prevent delays during USCIS filing.
Account for LCA Certification in Your Start Date
Before Carollo can file your H-1B or E-3 petition, they must obtain a certified Labor Condition Application from the DOL. This typically takes one to two weeks but can extend during high-volume periods, so negotiate a start date with buffer built in.
Prepare a Portfolio of Delivered Capital Programs
USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims for PM roles. Document specific capital projects you led, including scope, budget scale, and your direct technical contributions. Evidence of engineering oversight, not just administrative coordination, strengthens your petition significantly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Carollo Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, Carollo Engineers sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Project Management roles. Because these positions are classified as specialty occupations requiring a relevant engineering or technical degree, they meet the H-1B eligibility threshold. Your employer files the petition with USCIS on your behalf, and timing depends on whether you need cap-subject H-1B processing or qualify for a cap-exempt transfer.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at Carollo Engineers?
Applications go through Carollo's careers portal, where roles are listed by region and discipline. For international candidates, Migrate Mate is the most efficient starting point, as it filters Carollo's openings by visa sponsorship type so you can identify positions that match your immigration situation before applying. Tailor your application to highlight water infrastructure experience and PE licensure status.
Which visa types does Carollo Engineers commonly use for Senior Project Management roles?
Carollo sponsors H-1B, E-3 visa, TN visa, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas across its professional workforce. For Senior Project Management specifically, H-1B is the most common pathway for most nationalities, with E-3 visa available to Australian citizens and TN visa available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering categories. Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 is also available for longer-term employees.
What qualifications does Carollo Engineers expect for Senior Project Management roles?
Carollo's Senior Project Management roles require a degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering, along with a Professional Engineer license in most cases. Candidates are expected to have hands-on experience managing water or wastewater capital programs, including budget oversight and client-facing responsibilities. USCIS specialty occupation standards also require that the degree field directly relates to the role's core duties, so generic management backgrounds without technical engineering depth rarely satisfy both the employer and the petition.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Senior Project Management role at Carollo Engineers?
Timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow USCIS's October 1 start date, meaning you'd need to be selected in the March lottery. E-3 and TN applications can move significantly faster, often within four to eight weeks from offer to status. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 runs on a much longer timeline, often exceeding two years from filing to approval depending on your country of birth and DOL processing backlogs.
