Frame your PM credentials for hardware-software convergence
Zoox's EPM roles sit at the intersection of robotics, electrical systems, and software integration. Tailor your resume to show program ownership across multi-disciplinary teams, not just software delivery, so your specialty occupation case is clear for H-1B or E-3 filing.
Target roles tied to vehicle programs early
Zoox structures project management around vehicle development milestones. Applying to postings tied to a specific platform or safety validation program signals domain fit and increases your odds of a role with defined sponsorship scope versus a general backfill hire.
Confirm your visa type before the offer stage
Zoox sponsors several visa categories, but not every pathway fits every timeline. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility and cap-gap coverage with your employer before the I-20 end date, so there's no gap in work authorization during H-1B adjudication.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Zoox openings by sponsorship type
Not all Engineering Project Manager postings at Zoox carry the same visa support. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by the visa categories Zoox actively sponsors, so you're applying to positions aligned with your specific authorization pathway.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage scrutiny in your offer negotiation
DOL requires H-1B and E-3 employers to pay the prevailing wage for the role's location and level. For EPM roles in the Bay Area, this wage floor is high. Understand the wage level tiers before negotiating so your offer clears DOL's Labor Condition Application requirements without revision.
Get your international project documentation apostilled early
If your relevant program management experience comes from outside the U.S., gather employer letters, performance records, and degree certificates now. For EB-2 or EB-3 PERM filings, USCIS requires verified foreign credentials, and apostille processing can take weeks depending on the issuing country.

Find Engineering Project Manager at Zoox JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Zoox sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Project Managers?
Yes, Zoox sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Project Manager roles. The H-1B is the most common pathway for this function given the degree requirements typical of EPM positions in autonomous vehicle development. Sponsorship is subject to the annual H-1B lottery, which runs in March for an October 1 start date, so timing your job search to align with that cycle matters.
Which visa types does Zoox commonly sponsor for Engineering Project Manager roles?
Zoox sponsors a range of visa types for Engineering Project Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right pathway depends on your nationality, degree, and career stage.
How do I apply for Engineering Project Manager jobs at Zoox?
You can browse open Engineering Project Manager positions at Zoox through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by the visa types Zoox actively sponsors so you can identify postings matched to your authorization pathway. Applications are submitted directly through Zoox's careers portal. Tailor your application to show cross-functional program ownership in hardware or systems-heavy environments, which aligns closely with Zoox's EPM scope.
What qualifications does Zoox expect for Engineering Project Manager positions?
Zoox's EPM roles typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, along with demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-team programs. Familiarity with hardware development cycles, systems integration, or safety-critical product delivery is a strong differentiator. A PMP certification can support your application but is rarely listed as a hard requirement for the role level.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline once I have a Zoox offer?
Timeline depends heavily on your visa category. H-1B filings open in March for an October 1 start, meaning you may wait up to six months post-offer before your status is active. E-3 and TN visas process much faster, often within weeks through consular appointment. USCIS premium processing, where available, reduces adjudication to 15 business days for H-1B petitions. Align your start date negotiation with these windows.
