Align your credentials to U.S. engineering licensing standards
Garver's project management roles in consulting often require or prefer a Professional Engineer license. If you hold a foreign engineering credential, research the state-level PE licensure reciprocity process before applying so you can speak to your path during interviews.
Target Garver's infrastructure service lines directly
Garver organizes its work across aviation, transportation, water, and federal services. Tailoring your application to a specific service line, rather than applying broadly, signals project-relevant depth that carries weight with hiring managers in consulting environments.
Prepare your degree evaluation early for specialty occupation review
H-1B approval for Engineering Project Manager roles depends on USCIS accepting the position as a specialty occupation. A credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization translates your foreign degree into U.S. equivalency terms your employer's attorney will need for the I-129 petition.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Engineering Project Manager roles at Garver
Garver posts across multiple channels and openings shift by service line and region. Migrate Mate filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers in consulting and engineering, so you can track Garver's active roles without manually monitoring their careers page.
Clarify the PERM timeline if you are targeting a Green Card
Garver's EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship requires a PERM labor certification filed with DOL before the immigrant petition. In consulting, project staffing changes frequently, so confirm with your hiring contact that your role is classified as permanent employment before the process begins.

Find Engineering Project Manager at Garver JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Garver sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Project Managers?
Yes, Garver sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Project Manager roles. The position generally qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria given its requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related field. Your employer's immigration counsel will file Form I-129 on your behalf, and you'll need to clear the annual H-1B cap lottery unless you're transferring from a cap-exempt employer.
How do I apply for Engineering Project Manager jobs at Garver?
You can apply directly through Garver's careers portal or discover open roles through Migrate Mate, which filters for visa-sponsoring employers in engineering and consulting. When applying, align your resume to the specific service line the role supports, whether that's aviation, transportation, water, or federal projects, since Garver's hiring teams are organized by practice area rather than generalist pools.
Which visa types does Garver commonly use for Engineering Project Manager roles?
Garver sponsors H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Engineering Project Manager positions, as well as EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for longer-term pathways. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens and can be processed faster than H-1B. F-1 OPT is common for recent engineering graduates entering their first full-time project management role.
What qualifications does Garver expect for Engineering Project Manager candidates?
Garver typically looks for a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, environmental, or a related engineering discipline, along with demonstrated project delivery experience in a consulting or infrastructure context. A Professional Engineer license is often preferred, particularly for roles involving client-facing responsibilities or signed deliverables. PMP certification can strengthen your profile but is rarely listed as a hard requirement at the manager level.
How do I plan my timeline if Garver is sponsoring my H-1B for this role?
The standard H-1B process begins with a USCIS registration in March, with cap selections announced shortly after. If selected, your employer files Form I-129 between April and June for an October 1 start date. Premium processing, which USCIS typically adjudicates within 15 business days, is available and worth requesting if your start date is firm. Plan for a gap between offer acceptance and your first day if you're not already in H-1B status.
