This role will be based in our New York office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor high-performing teams of both product engineers and Salesforce admins and developers, fostering their career development through coaching, feedback, and hands-on guidance.
- Drive the architectural vision, technical roadmap, and project execution for our Salesforce platform, GTM applications, and Marketing website (Brex.com), ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Champion and integrate AI-native solutions within our Sales, Marketing, Operations, and CX systems and workflows of your teams to drive efficiency and unlock new capabilities.
- Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and CX, acting as a strategic advisor to translate business needs into a prioritized engineering backlog while being jointly accountable to business metrics such as CAC, payback, and rep capacity.
- Own the operational excellence of your group, managing sprint capacity, removing blockers, and ensuring high-velocity, high-quality delivery.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices for Sales and Marketing applications and the Salesforce ecosystem, including advanced DevOps (CI/CD, source control, release management), code quality, and system governance.
- Design and oversee the implementation of complex integrations and automation across our GTM systems and third-party applications, including owning build vs buy decisions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong technical background, with 3+ years of experience managing or leading multiple technical teams in a high-growth environment.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Salesforce development and architecture.
- Deep expertise in the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and platform APIs.
- Experience architecting and building robust integrations between Salesforce and a broader ecosystem of GTM tools and third-party applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage and communicate effectively with XFN partners (e.g. Sales, Marketing, CX, and Operations) at all levels, from individual contributors to senior leadership.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term platform health with immediate business needs, and a proven ability to prioritize and push back when work is not aligned with company goals.
- A passion for leveraging AI to improve both team productivity and the products you build.
Bonus points
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application/System Architect).
- Experience managing remote or distributed engineering teams.
- Former founders welcome.
- Experience building Slack applications and integrations.
- Experience with B2B growth.
- You have started your own technology venture or were a foundational engineering member of an early-stage start up. We value entrepreneurial spirit & scrappiness!
- You are a champion for the customer and constantly put yourself in the shoes of your users, and strive to create an intuitive and delightful experience.

Frame your PM credentials around fintech infrastructure
Brex evaluates Engineering Project Managers on their ability to ship complex, compliance-sensitive systems. Tailor your portfolio to show experience managing cross-functional engineering work in regulated industries like banking, payments, or financial services, not just general software delivery.
Target roles that map to H-1B specialty occupation criteria
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Engineering Project Manager postings at Brex that emphasize systems architecture, API integrations, or infrastructure work tend to meet this threshold more cleanly than generalist PM roles.
Clarify Brex's LCA timeline before accepting an offer
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition reaches USCIS. Ask your recruiter early whether Brex uses premium processing, since the standard USCIS timeline runs three to five months and can affect your start date.
Use OPT strategically to build your Brex candidacy
If you're on F-1 OPT, Brex's sponsorship history across engineering functions means you're not entering cold. Use your OPT period to demonstrate measurable delivery impact in a fintech or payments context, which directly strengthens your H-1B petition narrative when your employer files.
Surface TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status covers certain computer systems analyst roles and can be a faster path than H-1B if your Engineering Project Manager position at Brex is framed around systems analysis. Confirm with Brex's immigration counsel whether your specific role description qualifies under the TN category before relying on this route.
Find open Engineering Project Manager roles at Brex on Migrate Mate
Searching for roles filtered by both sponsorship history and job function saves significant time. Migrate Mate lets you browse Engineering Project Manager openings at Brex alongside verified sponsorship data, so you can apply with confidence rather than guessing at a company's willingness to file.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Brex sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Project Managers?
Yes, Brex sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Project Manager roles. The company has a consistent record of filing across engineering functions, and Engineering Project Manager positions that require specialized technical knowledge, such as managing infrastructure, compliance systems, or payments architecture, typically satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements. Confirming the role's degree requirements in the job description before applying strengthens your petition.
Which visa types are commonly used for Engineering Project Manager roles at Brex?
H-1B is the most common path for Engineering Project Managers at Brex, but the company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, TN visa status for Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying roles, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-term employment. The right visa depends on your citizenship, current status, and the specific role's job description requirements.
What qualifications or experience does Brex expect for Engineering Project Manager roles?
Brex Engineering Project Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on experience managing cross-functional engineering teams in fast-paced technology environments. Experience with financial infrastructure, API-driven systems, or compliance-sensitive product delivery is a strong differentiator. For H-1B purposes, the degree requirement being field-specific matters, so generalist business backgrounds alone are unlikely to meet USCIS specialty occupation standards.
How do I apply for Engineering Project Manager jobs at Brex?
You can browse and apply for Engineering Project Manager roles at Brex directly through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by sponsorship history so you can confirm Brex's track record before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to emphasize technical project delivery in regulated or fintech environments. Reaching out to a Brex recruiter after submitting an application can help you clarify sponsorship timelines and confirm the specific visa types supported for the role you're targeting.
How do I plan my timeline around Brex's H-1B sponsorship process?
H-1B cap-subject petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date, so your offer and DOL Labor Condition Application certification need to be in place before early April. If you're transferring from another employer's H-1B, Brex can file a transfer petition year-round and you can start upon receipt. F-1 OPT holders should track their OPT expiration and any cap-gap coverage carefully, since a gap in employment authorization affects your ability to work while waiting for H-1B approval.
