Align your credentials to fintech engineering standards
Brex's Development Manager roles sit at the intersection of financial infrastructure and distributed systems. Before applying, document leadership experience with payment platforms, API-driven products, or compliance-sensitive engineering, these signal direct relevance to Brex's technical domain.
Target roles during Brex's active hiring cycles
Brex posts Development Manager openings across product and infrastructure engineering verticals. Filter for roles that specify team leadership over backend or financial systems, since those teams have the clearest sponsorship precedent and move faster through the offer process.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT each follow different filing timelines. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility early. TN candidates in qualifying engineering roles can avoid the H-1B lottery entirely, which shortens the path to a start date significantly.
Prepare for PERM-related employment history documentation
If you're pursuing a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, Brex will need to run a PERM labor certification with DOL. Gather detailed records of your prior job titles, responsibilities, and employer details now, gaps or inconsistencies in employment history slow the process.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Development Manager roles at Brex
Sponsorship-friendly Development Manager postings at Brex aren't always easy to surface on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse and filter Brex openings verified for visa sponsorship, so you're applying where your authorization status is already expected.
Address team scope expectations in your application materials
Brex's Development Manager postings typically expect candidates to own hiring, performance management, and cross-functional delivery. Your resume and cover letter should reflect direct reports managed and measurable delivery outcomes, not just technical depth, this affects how quickly you clear the initial screen.

Find Development Manager at Brex JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Brex sponsor H-1B visas for Development Managers?
Yes, Brex sponsors H-1B visas for Development Manager roles. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for engineering leadership positions, and Development Managers fall within the specialty occupation category that supports H-1B eligibility. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, timing your application around the April lottery window is essential.
Which visa types are commonly used for Development Manager roles at Brex?
Brex sponsors several visa categories for Development Managers, including H-1B, F-1 OPT (including STEM extension), TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 classifications. The right category depends on your citizenship, degree field, and how urgently you need work authorization to begin.
What qualifications and experience does Brex expect for Development Manager roles?
Brex typically looks for candidates with a computer science or engineering degree and hands-on experience managing software engineering teams in fast-moving environments. Direct experience with financial technology, payment systems, or compliance-sensitive infrastructure strengthens your candidacy. Demonstrated ownership of hiring, roadmap delivery, and cross-functional stakeholder management is expected at this level.
How do I apply for Development Manager jobs at Brex?
You can browse verified Development Manager openings at Brex on Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with active visa sponsorship. When applying directly, tailor your materials to the specific team and technical domain listed in the posting. Brex's hiring process for Development Managers typically includes a recruiter screen, technical and behavioral rounds, and a leadership presentation.
How do I manage timing if my OPT or visa status is expiring during the hiring process?
If your F-1 OPT is nearing its end date, confirm whether you qualify for the 24-month STEM extension before you start interviewing, since it significantly expands your runway. For H-1B holders changing employers, Brex can file an H-1B transfer, which lets you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition under portability rules. Flag your timeline to the recruiter early.
