This role is responsible for growing the bridge practice, leading the delivery of bridge projects while providing strategic, operational, and business leadership to a high-performing team. The ideal candidate is a strong “doer/seller” leader who can balance technical excellence, team leadership, project delivery, and client development to drive successful outcomes and profitable growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational and strategic direction for the Bridge team, including growth, performance, and project delivery.
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan, including resource planning and team expansion.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Coordinate workloads across teams and ensure alignment with regional and organizational goals.
- Be accountable for team business portfolio performance, including financial success and client satisfaction.
- Lead the engineering design of bridge projects for FDOT.
- Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and structural calculations.
- Ensure compliance with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and applicable design standards.
- Provide QA/QC oversight and serve as a subject matter expert for deliverable reviews.
- Coordinate design efforts with multi-disciplinary teams and subconsultants.
