Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Process Engineer Jobs at Garver
Align your degree to Garver's project work
Garver's Process Engineer roles sit within water and wastewater infrastructure, so a degree in chemical, environmental, or civil engineering strengthens your petition. A mismatched degree field can complicate H-1B specialty occupation review, even with relevant work experience.
Target Garver's water and wastewater openings
Process Engineer openings at Garver cluster around municipal infrastructure and treatment systems. Filter your search by those practice areas rather than browsing all engineering roles, since sponsorship is most consistent where Garver has deep project pipelines and repeat client work.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsored openings fast
Garver posts Process Engineer roles across multiple boards, but not all listings signal sponsorship clearly. Use Migrate Mate to filter directly for Garver positions that include visa sponsorship, so you're not wasting applications on roles that won't support your status.
Start LCA conversations before your OPT expires
If you're on F-1 OPT, the DOL Labor Condition Application must be certified before your H-1B petition is filed. Build in enough lead time so Garver's HR team can post the prevailing wage notice and complete LCA certification well ahead of your status deadline.
Ask specifically about PERM timing during the offer stage
Garver sponsors both H-1B and employment-based Green Cards, but PERM recruitment and DOL audit queues can stretch timelines significantly. Clarifying whether Green Card sponsorship is part of the offer package, and when it typically begins, protects you from timeline surprises after you've already started.
Document PE licensure progress for senior roles
Garver's senior Process Engineer positions often list Professional Engineer licensure as a preference or requirement. If you're working toward your PE, document your exam status and supervised hours clearly, since it signals trajectory to hiring managers and can strengthen your overall petition narrative.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Garver sponsor H-1B visas for Process Engineers?
Yes, Garver sponsors H-1B visas for Process Engineers. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards given its requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific engineering discipline. You'll need a job offer in place before Garver can file, and the position must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for the work location.
Which visa types does Garver commonly use for Process Engineer roles?
Garver has sponsored Process Engineers under H-1B, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B as the standard long-term work authorization path. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles.
How do I apply for Process Engineer jobs at Garver?
You can find and apply for Process Engineer roles at Garver through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship. Garver also posts openings on its careers site. When applying, tailor your resume to the infrastructure or treatment system focus of the specific role, and be prepared to discuss your visa status early in the process.
What qualifications does Garver expect for Process Engineer roles?
Garver typically looks for a bachelor's degree in chemical, environmental, or civil engineering, along with experience in water or wastewater treatment systems. Familiarity with process design, hydraulic modeling, or regulatory permitting strengthens your application. Progress toward a Professional Engineer license is valued for mid-level and senior positions and can be relevant to your sponsorship petition's specialty occupation framing.
How do I plan my timeline if Garver is sponsoring my H-1B?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March for an October 1 start date, so your offer should ideally be in place by early March to register in time. If you're on OPT with a STEM extension, you may be able to bridge the gap if you miss a lottery cycle. Garver must complete DOL LCA certification before filing with USCIS, which adds several weeks to the overall timeline.
