About the Company:
World is building a real human network designed to accelerate people in the age of AI. As bots and autonomous agents reshape the internet, people, institutions, and applications need a trusted way to confirm who is a real human while preserving privacy. Our products make this possible: the Orb verifies real people, World ID proves it privately, and World App enables and distributes the new applications made possible by this technology. Together, they form a new layer for AI internet.
We’re one of the fastest-growing networks in tech. More than 17 million people across 160 countries have verified with World ID, and we complete over 350,000 verifications each week. World App is already among the most used wallets globally. Developers are integrating World ID to build safer online experiences and create spaces where real people can participate, earn, and be recognized in ways AI simply can’t replicate.
World was founded in 2019 and launched globally in 2023. We are more than 400 people across hardware, software, AI, cryptography, mobile engineering, and global operations. Our teams come from OpenAI, Tesla, SpaceX, Apple, Google, Stripe, Meta, Coinbase, Palantir and MIT Media Lab. We’re backed by leading investors, including a16z, Khosla Ventures, Bain Capital Crypto, Blockchain Capital, Variant, Tiger Global, and Coinbase Ventures, as well as prominent operators and founders across fintech and AI.
World has been featured on the cover of TIME Magazine, highlighted in Fast Company’s Next 5 in Fintech, and explored in a Bloomberg deep dive. The New York Times, Bankless and TechCrunch have all recognized our progress in identity, cryptography, AI, and global-scale hardware deployment. Our leadership is also named to the Time AI 100. Target roles at the core of the product
Tools for Humanity's sponsorship activity centers on specialized technical positions tied directly to its identity and blockchain platform. Focus your applications on engineering, cryptography, and applied AI roles where your credentials most clearly match the company's core technology stack.
Understand which visa types they support
Tools for Humanity sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and TN visas, meaning Australians and Canadians have additional pathways beyond the H-1B lottery. If you hold citizenship in a TN-eligible country, highlight that in your application to broaden your options.
Lead with specialty occupation credentials
For H-1B sponsorship at a company like this, your degree must directly relate to the role. Biometrics, computer science, cryptography, and related engineering fields carry the strongest case. Generic software backgrounds without specialization are less likely to progress.
Time your outreach around H-1B registration windows
H-1B petitions must be filed in early April for an October start date. If you're targeting Tools for Humanity, aim to be deep in the hiring process by February so the company has time to prepare your registration before the March window closes.
Look for open roles on platforms that verify sponsorship history
Not every job board confirms whether a company genuinely sponsors visas. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, letting you apply with confidence that Tools for Humanity has an active track record before you invest time in the process.
Position yourself as a mission-aligned candidate
Tools for Humanity operates in a highly specialized space combining identity technology and decentralized systems. Sponsorship decisions at focused companies often favor candidates who demonstrate genuine interest in the mission, not just technical fit. Tailor your materials to show you understand what they're building.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tools for Humanity sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Tools for Humanity sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship is focused on technical positions where the role requires a directly related degree. Given the company's size and specialized focus, H-1B sponsorship is selective rather than broad, so applicants with niche expertise in areas like cryptography, biometric systems, or distributed systems are best positioned.
What other visa types does Tools for Humanity sponsor?
Beyond the H-1B, Tools for Humanity also sponsors the H-1B1 visa and TN visa categories. The H-1B1 visa is available exclusively to citizens of Singapore and Chile, while TN status applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals working in qualifying professional roles under the USMCA. These alternatives bypass the H-1B lottery, which can be a significant advantage for eligible candidates.
Which roles at Tools for Humanity are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship activity at Tools for Humanity is concentrated in technical disciplines that directly support its biometric identity and blockchain infrastructure. Engineering, software development, applied cryptography, and data science roles are the most likely candidates. Non-technical functions such as marketing, operations, or general management are less commonly sponsored at companies with a focused technical headcount like this one.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Tools for Humanity?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find verified visa-sponsored openings at Tools for Humanity. The platform filters jobs by confirmed sponsorship history, so you can see current listings at the company without guessing whether sponsorship is actually available. This saves time compared to applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a role doesn't support visa candidates.
How do I approach the application timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Tools for Humanity?
The H-1B process runs on a fixed federal calendar. USCIS opens registration in early March, with a lottery typically conducted mid-March and petitions filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. To give Tools for Humanity enough lead time, you should ideally be at the offer stage no later than late January or early February. Starting the process in the fall before your target start year gives you the best chance.
