Align Your Credentials to UniFirst's Supply Chain
UniFirst operates a high-volume uniform services supply chain, so certifications like CPSM or CPIM directly strengthen your profile. Procurement candidates with sourcing or contract management backgrounds in manufacturing or services fare better than generalists.
Research UniFirst's LCA Filings Before Applying
DOL Labor Condition Application records show which job titles and work locations UniFirst has sponsored previously. Search the OFLC disclosure database for procurement-related titles to confirm whether your target role matches their established sponsorship pattern.
Target Roles UniFirst Lists as Specialty Occupations
Not every procurement title qualifies for H-1B sponsorship. Roles like Strategic Sourcing Manager or Procurement Analyst, where a specific bachelor's degree is required, are stronger candidates than broadly defined buyer roles where any degree satisfies the requirement.
Time Your Application Around H-1B Cap Deadlines
If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, USCIS registration opens in March with an April 1 fiscal year start. Build your UniFirst job search timeline backward from that window so you have an offer in hand before registration closes.
Clarify Sponsorship Willingness During the Offer Stage
UniFirst's procurement hiring process may involve multiple interview rounds before sponsorship is formally discussed. Ask the recruiter directly whether the specific role is approved for visa sponsorship before you reach the offer stage, not after.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Procurement Roles
Browse verified procurement openings at UniFirst filtered by visa type on Migrate Mate. It surfaces roles where sponsorship has been confirmed, saving you from applying to positions that won't support your immigration status.

Find Procurement at UniFirst JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does UniFirst sponsor H-1B visas for Procurement roles?
UniFirst has sponsored H-1B visas and has an active record with USCIS, which means procurement roles that qualify as specialty occupations are eligible for sponsorship. Roles like Procurement Analyst or Strategic Sourcing Manager, which require a specific bachelor's degree field, are the strongest fit. General buyer or purchasing coordinator titles may face more scrutiny during the USCIS adjudication process.
How do I apply for Procurement jobs at UniFirst?
You can apply directly through UniFirst's careers portal or browse open procurement positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. Before applying, confirm that the specific role lists sponsorship as available. Procurement positions at UniFirst can be competitive, so tailoring your application to their supply chain and uniform services context improves your chances significantly.
Which visa types does UniFirst commonly use for Procurement hires?
UniFirst has sponsored H-1B visas for skilled professional roles and has also worked with F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visa holders. For procurement specifically, F-1 OPT is a common entry point for recent graduates, giving both you and UniFirst time to assess fit before the company commits to H-1B sponsorship. TN visas are also an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying procurement roles.
What qualifications does UniFirst expect for Procurement candidates needing sponsorship?
UniFirst typically looks for procurement professionals with a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. Hands-on experience with supplier negotiations, contract administration, or ERP systems strengthens your application considerably. For H-1B eligibility, your degree must be directly relevant to the specific procurement role, not just any bachelor's degree, which is how USCIS defines a specialty occupation.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take once UniFirst extends an offer?
From offer to work authorization depends heavily on your current visa status. If you're on F-1 OPT, you can start while the H-1B process runs in parallel. For a new H-1B, you're looking at USCIS processing of several months after the April 1 cap filing date, with an October 1 start date at the earliest. Premium processing is available and shortens USCIS adjudication to 15 business days.
