Target engineering and infrastructure roles first
Wasabi's core product is cloud storage infrastructure, so software engineers, backend developers, and DevOps roles are where sponsorship activity concentrates. Leading with technical skills aligned to distributed systems or cloud architecture strengthens your application considerably.
Highlight OPT or CPT early if you're on F-1
Wasabi has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, so if you're currently on a student visa, mention your work authorization status upfront. Recruiters at active sponsors like Wasabi often prioritize candidates who are already authorized to work immediately.
Understand Wasabi's TN eligibility if you're Canadian or Mexican
Wasabi sponsors TN visas, which is a strong signal for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying roles like software engineer or systems analyst. TN sponsorship is faster and cheaper than H-1B, so emphasize your citizenship when applying.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship history
Not every tech company lists visa sponsorship in job postings. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find open roles at companies like Wasabi with a confirmed track record.
Lead with cloud storage domain knowledge in your application
Wasabi competes directly with AWS S3 and Azure Blob Storage on price and simplicity. Candidates who demonstrate familiarity with S3-compatible APIs, object storage architecture, or cost-optimized cloud infrastructure stand out in a company focused on technical differentiation.
Prepare for H-1B sponsorship conversations at the offer stage
Wasabi has an established H-1B sponsorship program, so it's worth asking directly about the process during final interview rounds. Active sponsors typically have internal immigration counsel or HR processes in place, making the conversation more straightforward than at smaller companies.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Wasabi Technologies sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Wasabi Technologies sponsors H-1B visas and has a consistent track record of doing so. The company's focus on cloud infrastructure means sponsorship tends to concentrate in technical roles such as software engineering, platform engineering, and related disciplines. If you're targeting Wasabi for H-1B sponsorship, engineering positions are your strongest entry point.
Which visa types does Wasabi Technologies sponsor?
Wasabi Technologies sponsors H-1B and Green Card pathways, along with F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range makes Wasabi accessible to international candidates at multiple stages, whether you're a recent graduate on OPT, a Canadian or Mexican professional eligible for TN status, or an experienced hire seeking long-term H-1B and permanent residency support.
How do I find open roles at Wasabi Technologies that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists open positions at verified visa sponsors including Wasabi Technologies, filtered by sponsorship history so you're not guessing. Search for Wasabi directly on Migrate Mate to browse current openings and confirm which roles are actively recruiting international candidates. This saves time compared to sifting through postings that don't mention sponsorship.
Which departments at Wasabi Technologies are most likely to sponsor visas?
Engineering and product development are the most active areas for visa sponsorship at Wasabi Technologies, given the company's cloud infrastructure focus. Roles in software development, site reliability, and cloud architecture align directly with Wasabi's core business and are where international hiring tends to occur most consistently. Sales and operations roles are less commonly sponsored.
How do I approach the sponsorship conversation when applying to Wasabi Technologies?
Wait until you have a recruiter screen or hiring manager conversation before raising sponsorship directly. Companies with an established program like Wasabi's are familiar with the process, so a straightforward question about H-1B or Green Card support is appropriate once there's mutual interest. Framing it as a logistics question rather than a request signals professionalism and preparation.
