Target Engineering and Technical Roles First
Waupaca Foundry's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines tied to foundry and manufacturing operations. Focus your applications on roles in metallurgical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, where specialty occupation requirements align most cleanly with H-1B eligibility criteria.
Understand the Manufacturing Hiring Cycle
Heavy manufacturing employers like Waupaca Foundry often hire on project-based or operational timelines rather than fixed recruiting seasons. Check for openings year-round rather than assuming a spring-only window, and use Migrate Mate to filter for verified sponsors actively posting roles.
Align Your Degree Directly to the Role
For H-1B sponsorship in manufacturing, the specialty occupation standard is strictly applied. Make sure your degree field maps precisely to the job description, not just broadly to engineering, as Waupaca Foundry will need to support that connection in its petition.
Highlight Foundry or Industrial Process Experience
Candidates who can demonstrate familiarity with casting, metallurgy, or high-volume production environments stand out at Waupaca Foundry. Relevant hands-on experience strengthens both your candidacy and the employer's case for sponsorship by showing the role requires specialized expertise.
Explore OPT and CPT as an Entry Point
Waupaca Foundry has sponsored F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, making it a realistic target for current international students. Securing an internship or entry-level role during your OPT period can position you for a full H-1B sponsorship conversation before your work authorization expires.
Verify Active Openings Before Outreach
Sponsorship decisions at manufacturing companies are closely tied to active headcount needs, not general hiring pipelines. Confirm that Waupaca Foundry has an open role matching your background before reaching out to recruiters. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history.

Find Waupaca Foundry JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Waupaca Foundry sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Waupaca Foundry sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a track record of filing H-1B petitions for workers in technical and engineering roles tied to its iron casting and manufacturing operations. Sponsorship is most common for specialty occupation positions where a degree in a specific technical field is a genuine requirement of the job, not just a preference.
What visa types does Waupaca Foundry sponsor?
Waupaca Foundry sponsors several visa categories, including H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT. This range makes the company accessible to candidates at different stages, from international students completing degrees to experienced professionals seeking employer-sponsored work authorization in a manufacturing environment.
Which roles at Waupaca Foundry are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Waupaca Foundry tends to cluster around engineering and technically specialized roles, particularly those involving metallurgy, process engineering, quality assurance, and industrial operations. Positions that require a specific degree field and involve work closely tied to the foundry's core manufacturing processes are the strongest candidates for H-1B or TN sponsorship.
What is the typical timeline for visa sponsorship at Waupaca Foundry?
The timeline depends on the visa type. For H-1B sponsorship, the process typically begins several months before the April filing window, with an October 1 start date if selected in the lottery. TN visas can move faster, sometimes within weeks of an offer. F-1 OPT roles can begin as soon as your Employment Authorization Document is approved. Plan your job search timeline around these windows.
How do I find current visa-sponsored job openings at Waupaca Foundry?
The most reliable approach is to search for Waupaca Foundry on Migrate Mate, which aggregates job listings from verified sponsors and lets you filter by visa type, industry, and company. This saves you the work of manually confirming whether a role comes with sponsorship support, so you can focus on applications where your visa situation is already a fit.
