Does WEX sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, WEX does sponsor H-1B visas, though it does so selectively rather than at high volume. Sponsorship tends to be concentrated in technical and specialized roles within its financial technology operations. If you're targeting WEX on an H-1B, confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter early in the process to avoid delays later.
What visa types does WEX sponsor?
WEX sponsors several visa categories including H-1B, Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. Its Green Card sponsorship activity is notably strong relative to the size of its overall program, which is a positive signal for candidates focused on long-term U.S. residency in the financial services sector.
Which departments or roles at WEX are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at WEX is most commonly associated with technical and specialized professional roles, software engineers, data analysts, product managers, and finance professionals working across its fleet, corporate, and health payment platforms. Roles requiring niche expertise in financial technology or payment infrastructure are the strongest fit for sponsorship consideration.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at WEX?

This removes the guesswork of cold-applying to employers without confirmed sponsorship programs and helps you prioritize WEX in your job search.
How do I approach the application timeline if I need sponsorship from WEX?
Start the conversation about sponsorship in your first recruiter interaction. If you're on F-1 OPT, flag your end date immediately so WEX's HR team can assess whether the H-1B cap cycle aligns with your timeline. For TN applicants, the process is faster and doesn't require lottery selection. Green Card timelines vary by category, so ask specifically which pathway WEX has sponsored for similar roles.
