Compliance Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a compliance job in Los Angeles?
Focus your search on Los Angeles's densest hiring sectors: financial services firms in downtown's Bunker Hill corridor and Century City, health systems across the Westside and Koreatown, and entertainment studios in Hollywood and Burbank. Candidates with experience in financial crimes, healthcare regulations, or entertainment licensing stand out locally. Networking through the Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics also opens doors that online applications alone do not.
Which companies hire compliances in Los Angeles?
Companies currently hiring compliances in Los Angeles include Telus, L.A. Care Health Plan, and ZURU, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles draws a wide range of employers, from major bank regional offices and health plan administrators to entertainment studios and publicly traded corporations with California headquarters.
Are there remote compliance jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though it depends on the specialty. Desk-based roles in regulatory reporting, policy review, and financial compliance often allow remote or hybrid schedules, while on-site roles in healthcare or manufacturing compliance typically do not. About 15% of compliance openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting broader employer flexibility in the region. Financial and corporate compliance roles tend to offer the most remote availability locally.
How can I get a compliance job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is landing a compliance analyst or coordinator role at one of the city's many mid-size financial services firms, health plans, or entertainment companies, which hire more entry-level staff than large national institutions. Roles in contract administration, audit support, or regulatory affairs often serve as lateral entry points. Familiarity with California-specific regulations and any coursework toward a CRCM or CCEP designation gives local candidates a measurable edge.
Which industries hire the most compliances in Los Angeles?
Most compliance openings in Los Angeles sit in Technology & Software, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Insurance, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's combination of a major financial district, one of the country's largest hospital systems, and a global entertainment industry creates unusually broad and sustained demand for compliance professionals across multiple regulatory frameworks.
