Entry Level Compliance Officer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level compliance officer job?
Entry level compliance officer roles typically look for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related field, along with any internship, coursework, or certification in regulatory compliance. Earning a foundational credential like a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) associate designation, demonstrating attention to detail, and highlighting any experience with policy review or auditing in your application gives you a real edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level compliance officers?
Companies hiring entry level compliance officers right now include State of New Mexico, Software Technology, and Vise, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Banks, insurance carriers, healthcare systems, and government contractors tend to be especially active at this level because their regulatory obligations require a steady pipeline of junior compliance staff.
Are there remote entry level compliance officer jobs?
Yes, though most entry level roles still lean on-site given the hands-on training involved. About 5% of entry level compliance officer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need flexibility should filter specifically for those work settings when searching current listings.
Are these new grad compliance officer jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior compliance officer roles alongside other entry level postings. A new-grad-friendly listing typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or volunteer work in lieu of full-time history, and does not require an advanced degree or an existing professional license, making it a realistic first step for new graduates entering the field.
Which industries hire the most entry level compliance officers?
Entry Level compliance officer roles concentrate in Government & Public Sector, Banking & Financial Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors face heavy regulatory oversight from federal and state agencies, which creates consistent demand for junior professionals who can support audits, policy documentation, and reporting requirements even at the start of their careers.
