The Configuration Management Analyst will support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the client’s configuration management program. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and comfortable working across multiple project teams in a fast-paced federal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate configuration management activities across multiple project teams.
- Maintain change records, logs, documentation, meeting materials, and action-item trackers.
- Monitor and track Software Change Requests (SCRs) and Software Change Proposals (SCPs).
- Maintain configuration items, configuration identification records, and associated logs.
- Conduct configuration audits, assessments, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) health checks.
- Document and maintain configuration management processes, procedures, and supporting materials.
- Prepare and analyze configuration management metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program performance and effectiveness.
- Maintain configuration management SharePoint sites, document libraries, and related repositories.
- Respond to data calls and support recurring and ad hoc status reporting.
- Participate in meetings, document decisions and action items, and coordinate follow-up activities.
- Support property and inventory tracking associated with configuration items.
- Collaborate with technical, program, and business stakeholders to support enterprise-wide integration and configuration management activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, including experience using technology applications to support process improvement and business process reengineering.
- Experience may include activity and data modeling, business process improvement, documentation, and transition planning for new technology-enabled processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical or scientific discipline.
- Experience working in a high-volume, operations-driven federal environment.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and configuration management best practices.
- Experience communicating with government customers and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prepare concise summaries, reports, metrics, and action-item documentation.
- ITIL v3 Foundation Certification or comparable ITIL certification.
- Experience with tools such as ServiceNow ITSM, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), Cisco Prime, SharePoint, or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple technical and functional teams.
