INTRODUCTION
Mark Young Construction, LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for Commercial Carpenters to join us as we continue to grow!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Commercial Carpenter works closely with Owners, Owner Management, Superintendents, Engineers, and others on his/her team. A Commercial Carpenter performs and completes a variety of tasks and projects ranging in duration from a part of a day to multiple weeks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicates with clients, owners, owner representatives before the job starts, during the job, and after the job is complete.
- Prioritizes and meets scheduled deadlines on projects
- Completion of daily construction reports, timecards, monthly equipment reporting, weekly safety meetings, tool inventory
- Constructs, erects, and installs structures made of wood, metal, plywood, wallboard, and other materials using carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines for commercial projects
- Set trusses
- Cut footings and foundation walls, layout and form concrete steps, HC Ramps
- Use and understand 5-point laser, theodolite laser/building level
- Finish carpentry: chair rail, cap, trim, cabinets
- Layout self-performed work
- Participate in daily work assignment planning to achieve highest productivity levels
- Quantify material for up-coming assignments
- Read and understand drawings to assist the foreman in developing plans for work
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to use all jobsite equipment
- Own basic tools
- Ability to work with other trades
- Ability to perform work to MYC standards
- Ability to travel along up/down the front range
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION

- Salary: $23 - $30 an hour (DOE) and an additional $65 per night premium when working nights
