About This Role:
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Crusoe, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our engineering designs and their successful execution in a fast-paced production environment. This is a crucial role that requires both a strong technical aptitude and a strategic vision for optimizing manufacturing processes. You will help the team in interpreting complex engineering documentation and translating it into our manufacturing ecosystem. Your excellent communication skills and hands-on technical skills will be key to driving process efficiency, and ensuring a seamless flow of information between all cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Be Working On:
- Lead Documentation Interpretation & Translation: Provide guidance and oversight to the team in interpreting complex mechanical and electrical engineering design documentation, including fabrication drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Drive Production Data Migration: Lead the effort to translate design engineering documentation into production-specific information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the migration of data to manufacturing systems.
- Strategic Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for planning deliverables, ensuring effective and timely communication with purchasing, production, inventory, and project management teams.
- Process & Systems Ownership: Drive the creation and maintenance of Manufacturing Processes and Work Instructions, ensuring they are aligned with Engineering's Document Control Administration and company standards.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Spearhead initiatives to improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) within manufacturing, using data-driven insights to guide improvement projects.
- Supplier Collaboration: Oversee collaboration with outside suppliers and vendors to secure quotes and proposals, providing technical support to engineering and procurement teams.
- ERP Data Management & Optimization: Ensure the accuracy of planning deliverables and manufacturing data within the company’s ERP software and identify opportunities to optimize data management workflows.
- Tooling & Equipment Strategy: Lead the identification of standard or special gauging and specialized equipment required for production processes.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Serve as the manufacturing engineering representative in cross-functional team meetings with Engineering, Production, and Procurement to align on project timelines and resolve technical issues.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role and demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- Manufacturing Process Expertise: Proven experience with manufacturing process design, implementing process improvements, and leading Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) initiatives.
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive experience with manufacturing processes, mechanical machinery, power electronics, or industrial controls.
- Documentation Proficiency: Experience reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, electrical schematics, and Engineering Bills of Materials.
- Operational Acumen: Familiarity with sourcing, purchasing practices, production management, and advanced continuous improvement methodologies.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, SolidWorks, and typical productivity software (Google Suite, Microsoft Office).
- Adaptability and Leadership: The ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment across multiple sites with a geographically dispersed team.
- Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Lean manufacturing and/or SSBB certifications.
- Expertise in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $140,000 - $160,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. (#INDMFG)
