OUR CORE VALUES
We’ve Got Each Other’s Backs
First and foremost, we are a team. That means when someone is having a hard time, we step up and help each other out, whether it’s part of our day-to-day job or not. We’ve got each other’s backs. No questions asked.
Own Up
No one is perfect. We get that. If you make a mistake, own up to it, help to fix it, learn from it and move on.
It's Not Always Sunny
Ag construction is a vital part of our rural economy, but it’s hard work. Whether it’s 75 and sunny, or 15 and snowy, we work in the elements, day in and day out. Because of that, positive attitudes are a must. We’re all in this together in every situation to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
No Jerks Allowed
It doesn’t matter if we’re talking to a customer or a colleague, treating each other with respect, having a good attitude and taking responsibility for our work is of the utmost importance. Whatever job we’re on, we give 100% at all times, doing everything to the very best of our ability. We take pride in what we do and how we treat one another is no exception.

Tips for Your Construction Carpenter Job Search
Tailor your resume to the trade
List specific carpentry skills like rough framing, stair layout, or cabinet installation rather than vague terms like 'construction experience.' Employers scan for tool proficiency and trade-specific tasks, so name the ones you actually use on the job.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists construction carpenter openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Highlight certifications before experience
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 cards, blueprint reading, and forklift operator certifications often appear near the top of job posting requirements. Place these credentials above your work history so hiring managers see them before anything else.
Target openings by project phase
Framing carpenters and finish carpenters get called at different stages of a build. When you search, look for postings that name the specific phase, whether pre-drywall or punch-out, so your experience lines up with what the crew actually needs right now.
Bring a documented work sample to interviews
A phone photo album of completed framing, trim work, or custom millwork gives a foreman something concrete to evaluate. Briefly walk through two or three projects, name the scope, and explain any tolerance or quality challenges you solved.
Negotiate your tools and travel allowance
Many construction carpentry roles require personal hand tools or involve a jobsite commute. Ask about tool allowances, mileage reimbursement, and per diem during the offer stage, not after you start, so both sides have clear expectations before day one.
Construction Carpenter Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most construction carpenters?
The companies hiring the most construction carpenters right now include TIC - The Industrial Company, WillScot, and Crossland Construction Company, with the largest share of openings in Texas, Florida, and Georgia, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Demand tends to concentrate with large general contractors, national homebuilders, and commercial construction firms with active project pipelines.
How many construction carpenter jobs are remote?
About 0% of construction carpenter openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the hands-on nature of most carpentry work. The sub-areas most likely to allow any remote flexibility are estimating, project coordination, and shop-based custom millwork or prefabrication roles rather than field carpentry.
How do you become a construction carpenter?
You become a construction carpenter by completing a registered apprenticeship through a union like the United Brotherhood of Carpenters or a non-union trade association, which combines paid on-the-job training with classroom instruction in blueprint reading, math, and safety. Alternatively, you can enroll in a vocational or trade school carpentry program, then build field experience through entry-level laborer or carpenter helper roles before advancing to journeyman status.
How do you get hired as a construction carpenter with little experience?
Start by applying for carpenter helper or construction laborer roles, which give you jobsite exposure and let you demonstrate reliability and tool aptitude directly to foremen and lead carpenters. Earning your OSHA 10 card before you apply signals safety awareness, and completing even a short vocational carpentry course gives your resume a concrete credential. Many journeymen will train motivated helpers who show up consistently and ask good questions.
What does the construction carpenter interview process look like?
The construction carpenter interview usually starts with a phone screen from a project manager or HR coordinator covering your trade background, availability, and jobsite history. A field interview or site visit often follows, where a lead carpenter or superintendent asks about specific techniques, tool use, and how you handle blueprint discrepancies. Some employers give a brief hands-on skills demonstration or ask you to describe how you would approach a specific framing or finish task before extending an offer.
Where can I find and apply to construction carpenter jobs?
You can find and apply to construction carpenter jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the United States. Search for roles that match your trade experience and the type of construction work you do, then apply directly to each listing that fits.
