We are looking for an experienced construction professional who can help us estimate projects accurately, prepare professional proposals, and strengthen the way we manage opportunities from first visit to production handoff.
Position Overview
The Construction Estimator / Project Consultant will visit job sites, gather accurate project information, prepare scopes of work, help build estimates, create proposals, and communicate with customers, property managers, vendors, and our internal team.
This is an in-office and field-based role. The position is based out of our Crownsville office and will also require regular site visits throughout Maryland.
The right person will be organized, construction-minded, professional, and comfortable working across different types of residential and light commercial projects.
What You’ll Do
- Visit job sites to inspect projects and gather accurate information
- Take clear photos, measurements, notes, and jobsite details
- Evaluate roofing, siding, window, door, deck, gutter, repair, storm, insurance-related, and property management projects
- Identify access issues, material needs, hidden risks, and possible change-order items
- Build clear scopes of work for proposals
- Help prepare accurate estimates using company templates, supplier pricing, and field information
- Request vendor or supplier pricing when needed
- Use tools such as JobNimbus, HOVER, EagleView, CompanyCam, XBuild, QuickBooks, spreadsheets, photos, checklists, and proposal templates
- Prepare professional proposals for homeowners, property managers, HOA communities, and repeat clients
- Follow up on open estimates and proposal questions
- Organize sold job information before it is handed off to the field team
- Assist with change orders and additional work pricing when needed
- Help improve our estimating process and price book over time

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has:
- Real construction, estimating, project management, sales, or field supervision experience
- Strong understanding of residential or light commercial construction
- Experience with roofing, siding, windows, doors, decks, gutters, repairs, or related construction trades
- Ability to inspect a property and identify what needs to be done
- Ability to write clear scopes of work
- Professional communication skills with customers, property managers, vendors, and team members
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfort using technology, photos, CRM systems, estimating tools, and templates
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and follow-ups at once
- Good judgment when identifying risk, hidden conditions, or unclear scope
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Compensation

Schedule
Full-time position based out of our Crownsville, MD office.
This role includes a combination of office time, field appointments, and jobsite visits.
Most work is Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be available depending on project needs, customer appointments, and workload.
