Construction Manager Jobs in Irvine: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction manager job in Irvine?
The clearest path is targeting Irvine's active commercial and mixed-use development pipeline, which runs through large general contractors, national homebuilders, and corporate real estate owners in the Irvine Business Complex and Great Park areas. Candidates with LEED experience, Procore proficiency, and familiarity with California Building Code enforcement gain an edge here because Irvine's projects are typically large-scale, permit-heavy, and design-forward. Direct applications to developers and GCs posting in the Spectrum and Irvine Spectrum Center corridors move faster than recruiter pipelines for local openings.
Which companies hire construction managers in Irvine?
Irvine construction manager roles are posted by Cruitin, In-N-Out Burger, and NV5 and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Irvine attracts a mix of national homebuilders, commercial developers, and large general contractors drawn by the city's steady entitlement pipeline and master-planned growth.
Are there remote construction manager jobs in Irvine?
Yes, though options are limited since most construction manager work is site-dependent. About 34% of construction manager openings tied to Irvine are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the remote share concentrated in pre-construction, estimating, and program management functions. Irvine's tech-forward developer community makes hybrid scheduling more common here than in many comparable markets.
How can I get a construction manager job in Irvine with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Irvine is an assistant project manager or project engineer role with one of the city's active homebuilders or commercial general contractors, particularly those building in the Great Park Neighborhoods or Portola Springs areas where project volume is high and training pipelines exist. UC Irvine's continuing education and construction management certificate programs are recognized by local firms and strengthen early applications. Internships or co-op placements with Irvine-based developers often convert to full-time offers for candidates who demonstrate scheduling and Procore fluency.
