Construction Project Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction project manager job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's commercial real estate, infrastructure, and mixed-use development sectors, which drive the most consistent hiring. Buckhead and Midtown have dense concentrations of general contractors and development firms, while the Westside and South Atlanta see heavy industrial and logistics-related construction. Candidates who know Atlanta's permitting environment and have relationships with local subcontractor networks stand out in this market.
Which companies hire construction project managers in Atlanta?
Employers hiring construction project managers in Atlanta right now include Turner & Townsend Pty Limited, Dennis, and Burns & McDonnell, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's market includes a mix of national general contractors with regional offices, local specialty builders, and large owner-operators in healthcare, hospitality, and commercial real estate.
Are there remote construction project manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, but only partially, construction project management is heavily site-dependent, so fully remote roles are rare. About 20% of construction project manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those tend to cover pre-construction planning, estimating, or program oversight roles rather than active site management.
How can I get a construction project manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is through assistant project manager or project engineer roles with regional general contractors or large subcontractors active in the metro's ongoing transit and mixed-use development projects. Atlanta's construction volume creates steady demand for coordinators who can grow into PM roles. Internships with firms involved in MARTA expansion and stadium-adjacent development projects are particularly strong launching points.
Which industries hire the most construction project managers in Atlanta?
Atlanta construction project manager roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Consulting & Professional Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's ongoing commercial real estate expansion, healthcare campus growth, and infrastructure investment tied to its status as a major logistics and transit hub keep demand across these sectors consistently high.
