Title: Digital Content & Marketing Specialist
Compensation: 60-85k
Industry Background: Energy storage is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the global energy economy, with annual stationary storage capacity additions projected to grow 23% per year from 2025 to 2035, driven by surging electricity demand from electrification, data centers, and AI infrastructure. Alsym Energy is the leading developer of non-flammable, high-performance, low-cost sodium-ion batteries for AI data centers, utilities, commercial real estate and anywhere else energy storage is needed.
Job Summary: Digital Content & Marketing Specialist, you will be the voice and visual storyteller of Alsym Energy across our digital channels. This is not a "sit back and strategize" role; we need a hands-on creator who can walk into the lab, interview an engineer, film a quick video, edit it, and push it live. You will bridge the gap between complex battery science and highly engaging, digestible social media content.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Own the daily execution and scheduling of content across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Video Production & Editing: Conceptualize, shoot, and edit short-form (mainly) and long-form video content (e.g., behind-the-scenes lab footage, product explainers, executive interviews) using tools like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or Canva.
- Content Creation: Write compelling copy, design basic graphics, and build a consistent visual aesthetic that aligns with Alsym’s brand identity.
- Community Engagement: Monitor social channels, engage with the clean energy community, and stay ahead of trending topics in the battery and sustainability sectors.
- Analytics & Growth: Track platform performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth) to figure out what content resonates best and iterate quickly.
- Marketing Stack & AI Tools: Comfortable leveraging modern marketing platforms to boost productivity and output. Experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) for brainstorming and drafting, design tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud, and CMS platforms like WordPress or similar website tools.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
- The Experience: BS in Marketing, Creative Writing, Film/Media, or Communications, with 1–4 years of hands-on experience (strong co-op, internship, or portfolio work absolutely counts!).
- The Skillset: Proficient with video editing tools and smartphone filmmaking. You know how to capture good lighting and clean audio on the fly. Experience and comfort with all social channels is a must, and demonstrated ability to generate followers and awareness is highly desirable.
- The Mindset: A true "do-er." You don’t wait for a rigid blueprint; you are resourceful, highly organized, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced hardware tech environment.
- The Passion: You genuinely care about renewable energy, and the battery space. You are excited to learn the basics of sodium-ion technology so you can talk about it authentically. Optimism and excitement for the future of energy are a must.
- The Portfolio: Required. A link to a portfolio, personal social media handles, or examples of content/video/graphic work you’ve personally created and edited. Examples where you have explained complex and/or technical concepts in an understandable way are highly desirable.
Why Join Us? At Alsym, we believe in equitable compensation and a healthy work-life balance. Beyond a competitive salary, we offer a benefits package designed to support you both inside and outside the office.

How do I get an entry level content creator job?
Build a portfolio before you apply, even if the work is personal projects, class assignments, or volunteer pieces. Tailor each application to the platform or content type the company uses most, and lead with your portfolio link in every submission.
Which companies hire entry level content creators?
Companies hiring entry level content creators right now include Taboola, Box, and RXO, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. A wide range of employers hire at this level, from startups and media companies to retailers and healthcare organizations that need fresh, consistent content for their digital channels.
Are there remote entry level content creator jobs?

Are these new grad content creator jobs?
Yes, these include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles. New grad applicants can compete strongly with the right samples.
Which industries hire the most entry level content creators?
