INTRODUCTION
A leading Lifestyle Brand in the CPG space is seeking an experienced Marketing Strategy Consultant to partner with senior marketing leadership during a critical growth phase. This high-impact consulting engagement will strengthen integrated marketing capabilities, improve the marketing operating model, and establish planning, measurement, and accountability frameworks that support sustainable growth. You will serve as an authoritative, performance-minded internal leader and strategic partner to the executive team. A primary mandate is to improve alignment between internal stakeholders and the external media agency—bringing media expertise, clear accountability, and executive-ready strategic guidance.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with senior marketing leadership on strategic initiatives, organizational priorities, and the evolution of the marketing operating model.
- Act as an internal media authority, providing strategic oversight of the external media agency, setting performance expectations, and holding partners accountable for results.
- Translate complex media, marketing, and performance data into clear recommendations and executive-level insights for C-suite stakeholders.
- Guide integrated campaign strategy, planning, and execution across the customer journey, with a strong emphasis on measurable performance.
- Advise on paid and performance marketing strategy, including channel mix, investment allocation, testing, optimization, and ROI.
- Develop frameworks for annual planning, campaign prioritization, resource allocation, investment decisions, and marketing measurement.
- Build executive-level dashboards and reporting that connect marketing investment, retail velocity, and business outcomes.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales teams to align media investment with retail growth priorities and distribution objectives.
- Assess and improve planning, governance, decision-making, and collaboration across marketing, sales, finance, and agency partners.
- Recommend organizational structures, capabilities, and ways of working that support future growth.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep CPG marketing and media strategy experience, ideally within established Food & Beverage brands.
- Strong understanding of retail-led and omnichannel growth, with experience scaling brands through physical retail distribution rather than a purely direct-to-consumer model.
- Proven experience with major retail media networks, including Walmart, Target, and Amazon.
- Demonstrated ability to help high-growth brands expand awareness, household penetration, and retail footprint.
- Strong integrated marketing, marketing analytics, and performance measurement expertise.
- Experience leading marketing or media functions and managing external media agency relationships.
- Executive-level communication, stakeholder management, and ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience creating executive performance dashboards, ROI reporting, and decision-ready business metrics.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Influencer marketing experience and the ability to integrate creator activity into broader paid media strategy.
- Experience partnering directly with Sales teams to connect media spend with retail velocity and commercial outcomes.
- Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
- Experience with emerging, high-growth CPG brands and retail expansion initiatives.
