Entry Level Product Marketing Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level product marketing manager job?
Entry level product marketing manager roles reward candidates who show concrete work, not just coursework. Build a portfolio with a real or mock go-to-market plan, a competitive analysis, or a campaign you ran for a club, internship, or freelance client. Familiarity with positioning frameworks, customer research, and tools like Figma or Notion signals readiness. Apply to roles that list internships or a portfolio as an alternative to years of experience.
Which companies hire entry level product marketing managers?
Companies hiring entry level product marketing managers right now include Meltwater, University of Utah, and Meta, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of growth-stage startups building out their first marketing teams and larger technology and consumer brands that run structured associate or rotational programs.
Are there remote entry level product marketing manager jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and industry. About 35% of entry level product marketing manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so options exist for candidates who need location flexibility. Fully remote postings tend to come from technology companies and startups, while consumer goods and retail employers more often post on-site or hybrid roles.
Are these new grad product marketing manager jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior product marketing manager roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and treats a strong internship, a capstone project, or a self-built portfolio as fully qualifying. Look for language like 'recent graduates encouraged to apply' or 'internship experience accepted' to identify the most accessible openings.
Which industries hire the most entry level product marketing managers?
Entry Level product marketing manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they launch new products frequently and need junior marketers who can support positioning, messaging, and launch execution without requiring years of specialized domain experience.
