DESCRIPTION
Come join Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance — a high-performing organization supporting a $125B+ annual revenue business that is redefining how the world builds and operates technology. AWS is investing over $100B in capital expenditures to expand its global infrastructure footprint, and our Finance team is at the center of those critical investment decisions that drive long-term customer value at a global scale.
WHY AWS
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform — offering the greatest choice of innovative cloud and AI capabilities on the most extensive global infrastructure in the world. Today, AWS is at the forefront of the generative AI revolution, investing at unprecedented scale — over $100 billion in capital expenditures — to expand its global infrastructure footprint, bring the power of the cloud and AI closer to customers everywhere, and build the foundation for the next generation of technology. AWS is also committed to sustainability, working toward net-zero carbon by 2040, and investing in renewable energy and innovative data center designs to power the most demanding AI workloads efficiently. If you want to work at the intersection of technology, business, and sustainability — where your decisions shape the future of cloud computing and AI for millions of customers worldwide — AWS is the place to be.
WHY AWS FINANCE
AWS Finance is a critical pillar of the Finance & Global Business Services (FGBS) organization — the team that provides end-to-end financial support for all of AWS. But this isn’t traditional finance. At AWS, finance leaders are strategic business partners and trusted advisors who sit at the table where the biggest decisions are made.
As a finance business leader at AWS, you will partner directly with engineering, product, sales, and operations leaders to influence multi-billion dollar investment decisions, evaluate the economics of new services and regions, structure complex enterprise deals, optimize go-to-market strategies, and drive the financial discipline that enables AWS to grow responsibly at massive scale. Whether you’re building the business case for a new data center, modeling the unit economics of a generative AI service, or advising sales leadership on compensation strategy — your work directly impacts how AWS serves customers around the world.

- Drive operational excellence and controllership across your business area, utilizing automation and AI-powered tools to enhance financial processes and accelerate decision-making
- Partner with business and operations leaders to provide financial strategy and controllership for AWS’s sustainability commitments — including renewable energy investments, carbon emissions reporting, and water stewardship — ensuring financial rigor for sustainable, long-term growth
