Corporate Finance Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions

Most corporate finance managers in New York enter the role through a finance or accounting degree followed by several years in FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting roles at New York-based firms. A CPA credential issued through the New York State Education Department or a CFA charter significantly strengthens a candidacy. Large financial services firms and Fortune 500 headquarters in New York City typically promote from within their analyst and senior analyst ranks into manager-level positions.
Which companies hire corporate finance managers in New York?
Employers hiring corporate finance managers in New York right now include Amazon, Alvarez & Marsal, and Grant Thornton, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Which New York cities have the most corporate finance manager jobs?
New York, Harrison, and Cheektowaga have the most corporate finance manager openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its concentration of global financial institutions, media conglomerates, and Fortune 500 headquarters, while White Plains and other Westchester County locations reflect the large suburban campuses of healthcare systems and consumer goods companies that run significant regional finance operations from outside the city.
Are there remote corporate finance manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than many comparable management roles. About 34% of corporate finance manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based, analytical nature of the work. FP&A and reporting functions tend to be the most remote-friendly, while roles requiring close collaboration with treasury operations or on-site executive teams are more likely to require regular office presence.
How can I get hired as a corporate finance manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a financial analyst or junior FP&A role at a New York-based firm, then building toward manager eligibility over three to five years. Large banks and insurance companies operating in New York City, including major financial institutions and healthcare payers, run structured rotational programs for new graduates that cycle through corporate finance functions. Earning a CPA through the New York State Education Department or passing CFA Level I signals seriousness to hiring managers and compensates for limited tenure.
