Corporate Finance Manager Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a corporate finance manager in Massachusetts?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics followed by several years in a financial analyst or senior analyst role at a Massachusetts company. Massachusetts does not require a state-issued license to work as a corporate finance manager, but earning a CFA or CPA designation substantially strengthens your candidacy, particularly with Boston-area financial services firms and publicly traded biotechnology companies where those credentials are expected at the manager level.
Which companies hire corporate finance managers in Massachusetts?
Employers hiring corporate finance managers in Massachusetts right now include Berkeley Research Group, Waters, and Citizens, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Massachusetts's mix of global asset managers, life sciences firms, and major academic medical centers means steady hiring across multiple industries rather than concentration in a single sector.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most corporate finance manager jobs?
Boston, Milford, and Burlington account for the largest share of corporate finance manager openings in Massachusetts. Boston and Cambridge drive the majority of demand through their concentration of financial services headquarters, biotechnology companies, and major academic medical centers, while Worcester supports a secondary market anchored by healthcare systems and regional manufacturers that maintain in-house corporate finance teams.
Are there remote corporate finance manager jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since corporate finance work is largely analytical and can be done effectively off-site. About 33% of corporate finance manager openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the field. Financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting responsibilities translate most readily to remote arrangements, while roles requiring close coordination with treasury or investor relations teams tend to remain hybrid or on-site.
How can I get hired as a corporate finance manager in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is landing a financial analyst role at a Massachusetts employer and building toward management from within. Large Boston-area employers including Fidelity Investments, State Street, and major health systems regularly hire new graduates into structured rotational finance programs that cycle through FP&A, treasury, and corporate development. Earning your CFA Level I or pursuing a CPA while in an analyst role signals manager-track intent, and candidates who move laterally from accounting, investment banking, or equity research frequently make the transition into corporate finance management faster than those starting from outside finance entirely.
Where can I find and apply to corporate finance manager jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to corporate finance manager jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and the industries you want to work in, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
