CPT Curriculum Coordinator Jobs
Curriculum Coordinator jobs let F-1 students apply coursework in instructional design, program development, and educational assessment directly in the field. CPT authorization requires your DSO to confirm the role integrates with your degree plan, so target positions where curriculum mapping and standards alignment appear in the job description.

Get Access To All JobsCurriculum Coordinator CPT: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Curriculum Coordinator role qualify as an integral part of my curriculum for CPT?
It qualifies when the position directly connects to a course or academic requirement in your program, such as a field placement, practicum, or thesis project. Your DSO makes the final determination. Roles involving curriculum design, standards mapping, or instructional program evaluation are easier to justify than general administrative positions, so request a detailed job description before your DSO meeting.
Can I work as a Curriculum Coordinator on CPT at a public school district?
Yes. Public school districts and regional education agencies hire Curriculum Coordinators, and many have onboarded F-1 students before. Confirm that the district is enrolled in E-Verify if required by your state, and verify that the role's duties align with your declared major. Some districts route CPT hires through a central HR office that may not be familiar with F-1 authorization, so bring your DSO's contact information to the offer stage.
How do I find Curriculum Coordinator employers who already understand CPT authorization?
Migrate Mate lists employers with documented F-1 hiring history, which shortens the education process during interviews. When you reach out to employers, ask directly whether they've hired F-1 students on work authorization before. Education nonprofits, curriculum publishers, and large charter management organizations tend to have more experience with CPT than small independent schools.
What O*NET classification covers Curriculum Coordinator roles for CPT purposes?
O*NET classifies Curriculum Coordinators under Instructional Coordinators, SOC code 25-9031. This classification is relevant when your DSO documents the integral-part-of-curriculum requirement and when you look up prevailing wages for future visa transitions. Sharing the O*NET profile with your DSO can help them confirm the role meets your program's field experience criteria.
Does full-time CPT during the summer affect my OPT eligibility?
One year or more of full-time CPT eliminates your OPT eligibility entirely under USCIS regulations. Part-time CPT, regardless of total duration, does not affect OPT. If your Curriculum Coordinator role is full-time and spans multiple semesters, track your cumulative full-time CPT days carefully with your DSO before committing to an extended engagement.
