ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Project Coordinator Intern, a typical day might include the following:
- Provide administrative support to the division and project teams through review and response of incoming requests via a shared email inbox.
- Provide support to project teams including maintaining project files, creating and maintaining reports.
- Manage simultaneous, small projects as assigned.
- Provide support for large projects.
- Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
- Understand. Create. Simplify.
- Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
This job might be for you if:
- Proven Expertise in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to learn and communicate technical information.
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
- Negative drug test result(s).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
It is a plus if you have:
- Knowledge of Lotus Notes.

- Knowledge of Agile project management skills, techniques, and terminology.

The Engineering Services Operations team supports the SEL Engineering Services division globally. Our team collaborates with our internal customers to supervise, design and implement programs and processes that ensure successful project delivery and support the division’s mission to invent, develop and deploy advanced power system solutions.

SEL designs, manufactures, and supports products and systems that protect, monitor, control, and automate electric power systems. Our technologies help detect faults, prevent equipment damage, and reduce the impact of power outages.

COMPENSATION
- Pay Range Data - $20.50 - $22.00 per hour.

Your offer letter must describe duties your DSO can map to your curriculum. Entry-level roles with defined learning objectives are often straightforward to authorize because the academic connection is clear and direct.
Should I look for part-time or full-time fresher CPT positions?
Part-time CPT, defined as under 20 hours per week, is the safer choice while classes are in session because it has no impact on your OPT eligibility. Full-time CPT is generally reserved for breaks or co-op semesters your program formally designates as work terms. If you accumulate 12 or more months of full-time CPT across your degree, you lose eligibility for OPT entirely, so most enrolled students prioritize part-time arrangements unless full-time is built into their curriculum.
What is the process for getting CPT authorized for a fresher job offer?
Once you have a written offer letter from the employer, bring it to your Designated School Official along with any required departmental approval forms your university uses. Your DSO updates your I-20 to reflect the authorized CPT employer, position, and dates. The entire process typically takes a few days to two weeks depending on your school. You cannot begin work until your updated I-20 is in hand. The employer does not file anything with USCIS and incurs no government fees.
