We are looking for Armed Guards and Drivers to join our team. The Armed Guards and Drivers will oversee the safe and secure transport and delivery of high-value jewelry, goods, and merchandise.
This job requires a keen understanding and following of safety protocols and security procedures, such as understanding the exact processes behind unloading vehicles and training against robbery and knowledge of the established routes armored cars take to their destinations. You will often work in pairs, sometimes more; during the unloading of goods at each destination, at least one worker is required to stand guard.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives armored van or truck along established routes to transport valuables to destination.
- Guard valuables during receipt and transfer to ensure safe delivery.
- Loads and/or carries bags of valuables into and from armored van at protective service building, or customer establishment.
- Utilize the hand truck available in the vehicle to load, move and or transport heavy valuables.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in English is required.
- Pistol license REQUIRED.
- Valid Armed Guard license.
- Valid Firearm Permit.
- Clean Drivers License.
- Familiar with LAX area and airport cargo.
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Available to work weekends when needed, some holidays, and overtime.

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Can a Security Guard job qualify for CPT on an F-1 visa?
Yes, if the role directly relates to your academic program and your school approves it. Your DSO reviews the job description against your curriculum before issuing CPT on your I-20, so the connection must be explicit, not assumed.
What documentation does a Security Guard employer need from an F-1 CPT student?
You'll need to provide your valid I-20 with CPT authorization printed on page two, your passport, and your visa stamp. Many security employers, especially those holding government contracts, will also request your I-94 arrival record. Some will ask for a letter from your DSO confirming the role is part of your curriculum and the exact authorized dates.
Does working as a Security Guard on CPT affect my OPT eligibility later?
Full-time CPT used for 12 months or more eliminates your OPT eligibility entirely, so tracking your cumulative CPT hours matters. Part-time CPT doesn't count toward that limit. If you plan to use OPT after graduation, work with your DSO to structure your security guard CPT as part-time or keep full-time CPT under the 12-month threshold.
How do I find Security Guard employers who are familiar with hiring F-1 CPT students?

Can I work night shifts or irregular hours as an F-1 student on CPT?
CPT doesn't restrict your shift schedule, but your authorized hours, full-time or part-time, must match what your DSO approved on your I-20. If you're authorized for part-time CPT and your employer schedules you beyond that, you'd be working outside your authorization. Confirm your weekly hour expectations with both your DSO and your employer before your start date.
