Many candidates build their portfolios through programs at institutions like the College of Charleston, University of South Carolina, or Clemson University before entering the workforce.

Employers hiring creatives in South Carolina right now include Creative Beginnings Child Development Centers of Myrtle Beach, Troon, and GRAY MEDIA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Columbia's concentration of state government agencies, universities, and insurance headquarters anchors demand there, while Charleston's tourism, hospitality, and tech sectors fuel its market, and Greenville's manufacturing and corporate presence supports a growing pool of in-house creative teams.
