CT Technologist Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a ct technologist job in Boston?
Boston's hiring for ct technologists centers on the Longwood Medical Area, which clusters world-class academic medical centers and specialty hospitals within a few blocks. Candidates with ARRT certification and experience on GE or Siemens multi-slice scanners stand out here. Outpatient imaging networks across Cambridge, Brookline, and South Boston also hire consistently, and those sites often move faster than large hospital systems.
Which companies hire ct technologists in Boston?
Companies currently hiring ct technologists in Boston include Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Massachusetts General Hospital, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Boston's employer mix is unusually deep, combining Ivy-affiliated teaching hospitals, stand-alone specialty centers, and regional outpatient chains, giving candidates multiple hiring tracks at different seniority levels.
Are there remote ct technologist jobs in Boston?
Remote work is rare for ct technologists because the role requires hands-on scanner operation and direct patient care. About 0% of ct technologist openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions are almost entirely in radiology quality review, teleradiology coordination, or imaging education roles rather than direct scanning.
How can I get a ct technologist job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boston is through a radiologic technologist float pool at one of the Longwood Medical Area health systems, which rotates new grads through modalities and provides supervised CT hours. Community hospitals in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester also hire entry-level techs into general rad roles with a pathway to CT cross-training within the first year.
Which industries hire the most ct technologists in Boston?
Most ct technologist openings in Boston sit in Healthcare & Medical Services and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026.
