DESCRIPTION
The Customer Trust External Relations (CTXR) organization works to ensure the public understands the actions Amazon takes to maintain a trustworthy shopping experience—for customers, brands, and selling partners around the world.
We're looking for a marketing manager to lead the Americas marketing team within CTXR. This is a people-first leadership role for someone who knows how to build, develop, and manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced, content-forward environment. You'll bring experience leading teams that produce a high volume of editorial and event-driven work—and you'll know how to keep that work moving without sacrificing quality or strategic focus.
In this role, you'll set the direction for marketing programs across the Americas region, working closely with communications, policy, and program teams to ensure our external content reflects the reality of Amazon's approach to customer trust. Your team is responsible for producing articles, reports, social content, event programming, and other materials that help influential audiences—including policymakers, regulators, media, brands, and consumer advocacy groups—understand and engage with Amazon's work.
The right candidate is a strong people leader who can coach a team through high-volume production cycles, build a culture of editorial excellence, and bring a clear strategic point of view to how we tell our story across channels and events.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and retain a team of marketing professionals responsible for content production and event execution across CTXR programs in the Americas
- Set team priorities and manage capacity, ensuring the team can deliver high-quality work across a sustained volume of content and events
- Coach team members through feedback, career development conversations, and day-to-day guidance—building a culture of accountability, growth, and marketing excellence
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across CTXR and Amazon on Americas marketing programs
- Track and report on team output, content performance, and event outcomes—using data to inform strategy and resource decisions
- Represent the Americas marketing team in cross-functional planning, leadership reviews, and stakeholder conversations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience managing teams
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using SQL to pull data and metrics to deliver reports
- Experience with basic HTML, website management and content management systems (CMS)

Senior Level Customer Marketing Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level customer marketing manager job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who have owned a full customer lifecycle program, not just contributed to one. Demonstrable impact on retention, expansion, or net revenue retention rates sets strong applicants apart. Highlight cross-functional leadership, experience influencing product or customer success roadmaps, and any work building or scaling a team. A portfolio of measurable outcomes matters more than titles alone.
Which companies hire senior level customer marketing managers?
Companies hiring senior level customer marketing managers right now include GEICO, Amazon Web Services, and Apple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level tends to concentrate in growth-stage and enterprise technology companies, B2B SaaS organizations, and large professional services firms with established customer bases requiring dedicated retention and expansion programs.
Are there remote senior level customer marketing manager jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 43% of senior level customer marketing manager openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the function's digital-first nature. Senior roles often carry more location flexibility than mid-level positions because candidates bring demonstrated autonomy and require less in-person oversight.
What makes a customer marketing manager role senior level?
Senior level customer marketing manager roles are defined by program ownership, strategic scope, and leadership responsibility. You are setting the direction for customer engagement, advocacy, or lifecycle programs rather than executing someone else's plan. These roles typically involve influencing budget decisions, collaborating with executives, and mentoring junior marketers. The expectation is that you identify problems, build solutions, and deliver measurable business outcomes independently.
Which industries hire the most senior level customer marketing managers?
Senior level customer marketing manager roles concentrate in Distribution & Wholesale, Insurance, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors tend to have large, recurring customer bases where retention and expansion revenue are strategic priorities, making experienced customer marketing leadership a high-value investment rather than a support function.
