Senior Level Sales Development Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level sales development manager job?
Employers hiring at this level want candidates who have led SDR teams, built outbound programs from the ground up, and can show measurable pipeline impact. Demonstrating experience coaching reps, owning quota targets, and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and account executives sets strong candidates apart. A history of scaling processes, not just executing them, is what distinguishes senior applicants from mid-level ones.
Which companies hire senior level sales development managers?
Companies hiring senior level sales development managers right now include Citco, Vanta, and Planet, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Are there remote senior level sales development manager jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level given the strategic and coaching-heavy nature of the work. About 53% of senior level sales development manager openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting employer flexibility for experienced managers who can lead distributed teams effectively.
What makes a sales development manager role senior level?
Senior level sales development manager roles are defined by ownership of the full SDR function, not just execution within it. That means setting team strategy, refining prospecting methodologies, mentoring junior managers or team leads, and being accountable for pipeline contribution at an organizational level. The scope extends beyond daily management to influencing hiring, tooling decisions, and cross-functional go-to-market alignment.
Which industries hire the most senior level sales development managers?
