Senior Level Event Marketing Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level event marketing manager job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who have owned event programs end to end, not just executed tasks within them. A strong portfolio of flagship events, demonstrated budget ownership, and experience leading coordinators or agencies sets a candidate apart. Showing measurable outcomes, such as attendance growth, lead generation, or revenue tied to events, is what moves applications to the top of the pile.
Which companies hire senior level event marketing managers?
Companies hiring senior level event marketing managers right now include Citi, ALTRUIST, and Handshake, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from mid-to-large organizations with established marketing functions, dedicated event budgets, and a need for someone who can own the events calendar with minimal direction.
Are there remote senior level event marketing manager jobs?
Yes, though many roles still require some on-site presence given the nature of live event execution. About 30% of senior level event marketing manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting employers who support distributed planning and strategy work while expecting in-person presence for major programs.
What makes an event marketing manager role senior level?
Senior level event marketing manager roles are defined by strategic ownership rather than task execution. Expectations include building the event strategy, managing vendor and agency relationships, overseeing budgets that run into six or seven figures, and mentoring junior team members. These roles report to director or VP-level leaders and are accountable for how events contribute to pipeline, brand, or revenue goals.
Which industries hire the most senior level event marketing managers?
Senior Level event marketing manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to rely heavily on conferences, trade shows, and hosted experiences as core demand-generation or brand-building channels, which drives consistent need for senior-level event leadership.
